Spoiler issue

Well here we go again another problem to add to my long list and it will be another visit to the dealer, just about sick of the problems with this car now.

Err..have you tried some WD-40 on it?

Why should I spend my time sorting it out. I don't want WD-40 in my spoiler it needs taking apart and re greasing with some thick lube. Not something that will wash out again in a couple of months. Whilst they are there they can sort out the corroded bolts hold the piece of s**t together.

When you park the car in the sun make worst?

My spoiler did the same noise but louder and the dealer put a special spray based on teflon and now be ok.

When you wash your car, do you open up the spoiler and dry it thoroughly ? All the parts?

I had a very close inspection of my spoiler at the weekend and there are no signs of corrosion whatsoever. 2 years old and 18k miles.

I've treated mine with a spray on lithium grease - no problem.

I never jet wash the car with the spoiler up I only open it to dry the underside. I know it just needs greasing and it's probably come about as its been 30+ degrees over the weekend, but this still shouldn't happen.

No you shouldn't power wash the car with the spoiler up. I was just asking if you raise it to dry underneath it and the housing after you've washed it.
