Spoiler envy!!!

hello fellow members of the forum!

I don't usually post that often but feel I need to air my opinion on the spoiler up or down in manual mode theory. Some members on here seem to have quite strong views that driving with the spoiler up makes said people "dipsticks and possibly show off's. I find this mentality somewhat frustrating and a little unnecessary. The car we are driving is a car that is not only driven to get us fron A to B, it is a car to be enjoyed, a car that is driven for pleasure as well as purpose and if I and other drivers get pleasure from driving with it up or down then that is something that should not bother or be anybody elses buisiness. I suppose you could alike it to someone who washes their car with turtle wax shampoo and to someone who uses swissvax.. we are all diferent and get enjoyment in different ways. So the next time I'm driving through the city of Hull or the open road the spoiler maybe up or it maybe down! Isn't that what the button is there for!

Each to their own to be honest. Personally, I think it ruins the lines of the car when raised, therefore mine stays down unless it lifts automatically for aerodynamic aid - then fair enough.

I really wouldn't be too bothered about what other people think about it, the car is quite controversial in it's own right, some will love it others will hate it. You chose it because you liked it so drive with the spoiler up if you like it

I say do as you like. It is your car. My opinion is that you look a proper plonker with it up unnecessarily. My opinion is my choice and is freely shared with you within the confines of this forum. Enjoy your RCZ in Hull or wherever, spoiler up or down. After all TT's seem incapable of driving anywhere without the spoiler raised

Was it you that I saw in Hull with the spoiler up I wonder, which led me to post that said people were "dipsticks" ? That was a grey RCZ. Oh dear, I fear I may have upset someone else - its not been a good week has it :(

As I have said before, it's just my personal opinion and to me looks wrong, but if that is what you choose to do, then you do it :)

Furthermore, if you are in the Hull area, you should be getting to our Yorkshire meet and then we can all drive with our spoilers raised :)

Really, no offence was intended. I keep seeing mercury grey RCZs, not sure if they are one and the same? If it is you, flash your lights, it will make my day :)

Why is this Thread called "Spoiler Envy" :eusa-think:

We've all got the Spoiler and we've all got the Button to manually control said Spoiler.
What / why are we envious ??

The Posters acknowledging they prefer "Spoiler Up" at all times / speeds seem to be demonstrating the attributes previously referred to

Is there a post where you don't refer to the Audi TT.
Methinks there might be a bit of Audi TT Envy at play here ;)
The Audi TT is even mentioned in your Tag Line

I had a couple flag me down when I was driving a truck many years ago, I thought there was some sort of emergency. There I was traveling along doing my job when this car started flashing and honking it's horn, both of them waving there hands in the air, they over took me and came to a screeching halt in front of my truck, I nearly ran over the bloody car, driver comes running over shouting like a mad thing. "driver, driver your loosing your load he screamed"
Well I could do nothing but say,
IM DRIVING A GRITTER YOU FOOL!!!!

Certainly no Audi TT envy here. I loved the looks of the TT the day I first saw it. My wife has wanted me to buy one, each time I was looking for a new car. I went for a test drive of the Mk 1 but failed to start the engine, as I hated the feel of the cabin space. (too claustrophobic) Later I had the same experience of the Mk 2. As my signature states "RCZ is the only car to make the Audi TT appear dated" I no longer love the looks of the Audi TT, call me fickle if you like, but Envy? NOooooooooooo. Had I wanted one, then I would have bought one
