SPARE WHEEL

Hi

I know this topic has been discussed many times before but I am just looking for a quick answer.

I have just spoken with a main Peugeot dealer who states you cannot get a sapce saver for the RCZ.

What options do I have? A cheap one if possible.

What is the issue with using a standard jack?

Just look for another space saver from another 5 stud wheeled Peugeot. Like the 407 or new 308 etc.

we purchased a second hand full size wheel and tyre from e-bay sits nice in the spare wheel compartment on issue at all dont trust that fluid +cant fix a blowout with a pump and fluid??

Will the space saver from 406 or 308 fit on the front with the standard calipers?

Im pretty sure they would on a 156 or hdi with the smaller brakes. Not too sure about other hdis or the 200.
Probably best to wait for someone to confirm for definite before buying any

I have a space saver from a 407. It only fits the rear.
But it's in my opinion always better to place a spare wheel in the back, the differential does not like to big a speed difference between left en right.

Do you think a wheel spacer would allow it to fit on the front?

You could just swap a wheel from the rear to the front, and put the spare on the back if you got a front blowout. I think that's what Joske was getting at.
I don't think a wheel spacer would make any difference.
I don't know of a space saver that will fit the front :eusa-think:

Silly question time.

I have 19" wheels on my GT.

I can get a 18" wheel from a sport to use as a spare.

I asume it will fit ok on front? Are the calipers are the same on sport and GT and on petrol and diesel models?

Well, if they were selling hundreds of thousands of RCZ's then finding info and parts would be a lot easier because of demand BUT then RCZ's would be as common as BMW's, Ford Focus' etc. so you would just be one of the sheep. And who wants to be a sheep?

As far as I know, the reason they put 19"s on the GT's is cos of the brake Callipers. So I assume 18"s won't fit, I think I read this somewhere on the forum some time ago.

One thing, when your in the Z your definitely in Wolfs clothing :lol:

I dont think thats right. The brakes on a 200 are bigger than the 156, but the brakes are the same if its a gt or a sport, so a sport 200 would have 18 inch wheels.

So having an 18 inch as a spare would be fine.

I have checked my HDI GT front brakes are they are the bigger calipers so wasn't sure if the 18" would fit on the front but since the last 2 posts say that they will then I will buy one as a spare.

Found out today while onto RCZPERFORMANCE how you can easily tell between smaller and larger front brakes.

The rear brakes on all models are the same. The smaller front brakes don't have a dust Gaurd/plate and the larger ones do.

Also the diameter is the easiest way of telling what brakes it is. Small ones are 302mm and big ones are 340mm. And ofc the RCZ R at 380mm
