Hi guys.

I'm close to purchasing a RCZ but am a little worried about reliability and build quality issues from what I've read on various internet sites

I'll probably be buying a two or three year old model so will have a one year warranty

Was wondering what experiences you guys have had with your cars as Peugeot hasn't the best reputation

Love the design and spec but don't want a car that's going to be in and out of repair constantly . Please let me know your thoughts

Many thanks

Hi Peter, I've always owned fords & rated them very high but not without faults but having first seen the rcz when it was launched I knew I would love to own one but like you I thought mmmmm Peugeot not sure, any way last year I took the plunge after driving a friends I was smitten couldn't fault it, after doing my homework I went for the diesel 20ltr GT I'm so pleased with it & touch wood all ok with it, i think with any make or model you go for there is always going to be some issues no car's perfect. I think if you go for it hopefully you wont be disappointed I've still got a big smile on my face when im in mine, hope this helps & all the best for the new year

Peter, the "RCZ chooses you" so if you are fortunate enough to be chosen, then I'm confident that you too would succumb to the RCZ Syndrome.

No marque is without it's problems regardless of price range and the RCZ is no more troublesome than any other brand.
So if you are chosen be positive and enjoy the experience as much if not more than the onlookers

Personally I'd plump for Grey because the whites are so popular. I like to be a bit different.

White holds it's price better than any other colour. The reason of course is because it is the most sought after colour. There are so many whites for a very good reason. That being, buyers ordered em

Wouldn't be overly concerned if I was buying a 2-3 year old car however Ron (he says playing the devil's advocate)! ;)

But worth a mention none the less. If your choice is twix a White and a Grey, then why not choose the one that will be easier to sell and get a better price for?

I think the colour matter's not a jot as far as selling on or buying a rcz,ln my opinion the most sought after rcz's are the one's that have been tastefully optioned with different wheels, grills, arches, and even xenons, in my opinion there's nothing worse than a basic specced rcz as these are very common indeed.

Grey and blue even red can look just as nice as any rcz just by adding dark/black wheels

The RCZ looks great in any colour and whilst all of us will have a favourite, when buying a second hand car condition, mileage and price are surely more important. I was lucky that I found a suitable car in my favourite colour! After almost a year reliability has not been an issue for me but any second hand car is a risk so a warranty for peace of mind would be good. I think I'm right in saying that all cars sold by Peugeot dealers come with a one year guarantee?

Hi Peter :greetings-wavingblue: I've only had my Z for soon to be a month and so I'm new to the Forum and hence my self imposed "back bencher" status and fear of the political whips in the chamber should I say: isn't one of the white colour variants a zero cost option?

Personally being "the big blue" I'd go for Dolphin Blue, then again you don't state that as your choice, shame :eusa-think: so I guess you'll just have to go for the white ,,,OR the metallic grey! Like one of the other posts replied, its not solely the colour but the spec that is likely to sway you as 'colour' just like 'beauty' is only skin deep BUT the options ,,there lies the Holy Grail and what makes each car individual regardless of colour.

It's true that white is a popular colour which is (in my own personal opinion) because its currently the in vogue colour regardless of make. Colour is a personal preference so take into account the spec and condition then trust your heart to guide you as the car has already chosen you, you just don't know which one as yet!!

PS: Although Ive only had mine nearly a month and I'm busy learning the finesse of 235 40 19's and kerbs I wouldn't have chosen a different car but wish all kerbs were made of rubber :(

... Welcome To The Forum

I'd have to agree with this. Ten years ago you'd barely have seen a white car unless it had blue lights on top. Turn of the century everything was silver, then it went to black, and now white is the must have fashion.

Personally I don't know why red isn't more popular, as it seems the best to me, closely followed by black. So I guess that just goes back to it's all about personal taste.
