I have good and bad news.
Bad news, I no longer own an rcz.
Good news, I own this instead.

Ps, compared to an rcz with JBL the stereo is cack.
So upgrades are required!

PPS, bum out roundabouts are amusing.

So if anyone buys LT11 EMF look after it.

I'll still stick around, keep an eye on you all and help where I can.

Nice car Iain, it is one of the few I do like. the interior stitching is similar to the RCZ with the red, so you will have one thing to remember the z by, but that's about it.

Good luck with the new motor, hope you have many maintenance free miles !!

Cheers M..

My wife’s ex husband (who we get on with very well btw) has the Subaru BRZ. He got it around the same time I got the Z. He loves it, apart from when it’s icy or snowing. Apparently he can’t get to the main road in it - no traction & rwd.

His is in white, & looks pretty much identical to yours.

Very nice car

Pros - fantastic handling. Comfier ride. Cheaper tyres!
Newer, a quarter of the mileage.
No unidentified chattering noises from the clutch.
Loads of tuning and modifying parts.
Skids.

Cons - higher road tax, slightly lower economy.
Lacks punch, so you need to wind it out.
Stereo and speakers not as good. Although my rcz did have the JBL system.

I am enjoy it though, it's so agile slotting it round corners.

It's genuinely like driving something older.
The steering is heavy, the brakes take a shove, the gear change is tight and notchy.

I'm a bit of a kid.... I like the last bit - skids or is that wheel spins ?

Sounds like you have a nice car there, I do like the looks but the main is if you enjoy it and you have fun in it whilst driving, to me it's all about the driving and the looks don't do the Z any harm at all.

Just been to Silverstone, though some might tell you I was a bit miffed ( put it politely ) about the ***#*#*#*#* fiasco getting in, I did enjoy the day and I'm starting to think I may have been infected by the modding / upgrading / improving / tuning / cleaning disease, I even said I like those massive whale tail spoilers....

What's happening to meeeeee......................................

Basically drifting, but not proper ruining your tyres drifting.
Just the odd little bit of provoked over steer.
On private land obviously.

Cough.

that's not something I've been able to do on the Z, kick it's back end out but I have done some very dangermouse driving in the Alps at some insane speeds when I look back. The Z is soooo planted.

Just watch your self on those private roads you never know whats around the corner.

PS. I think you need some cough medicine LOL.

Your R does kick out the butt when provoked. I do it a lot on motorway exits. You need to provoke it and the speed is pretty high where it does happen. But in general, our R does that.
It isn't proper drifting as the angle is low. It is more of a "I dance with you through the corners" agility of the back where it steps out with a slight drift of rear tyres (you hear them squealing). You hardly need to counter steer on it as the car catches all by himself when you keep stepping on the throttle. If you don't, then you will find yourself looking into the opposite direction. The ESP on R intervenes very late.
