Just recently I found out about the Brownstone Limited Edition RCZ and it sparked a discussion with a fellow enthusiast.

Check link; do it in google chrome and then translate page for English.

Well I thought I knew quite a bit about our beloved RCZ, turns out there's always something to learn as with anything I guess !

So, we have the Limited Edition Brownstone with 150 units sold in the EU. I actually saw one of these at the European Meeting in Zeeland, but didn't realise what it was !

Which brings me to what I think is probably going to be one of the rarest RCZ's **

** except obviously Bimota and Arlen Ness concepts...

The RCZ Black Yearling !!!

As above check link and translate..

http://www.motorbox.com/auto/magazine/p ... -yearling-

This Special Edition was launched in 2009 !! for the Italian market after a Special Edition white RCZ was launched and sold out online, 200 of that model was launched and apparently only 3 Italians manage to get one. Annoyed at this they complained to Peugeot and hence the Special Edition Black Yearling was produced for the Italians.

100 of these models were made and all sold in Italy.

If you are having problems with the links, this is basically what is said...

THE TIME STRING "Venghino gentlemen, venghino." And in the race too , if they do not want to stay dry for the second time, Peugeot has created a special series with matt black livery of his new compact coupe, the RCZ , and is selling it online (at http://www.rczblackyearling.it) with unexpected success: within two weeks , click after click, the Italians have already booked 60 of the 100 specimens planned, ordered immediately, but ready for delivery next spring .

VENERE NERA In addition to wearing a cat-woman dress , this RCZ also has two aluminum arches and darkened brake calipers, as well as, inside, the central console is in black mother-of-pearl . The special equipment includes 18 dark gray alloy wheels , sport seats, pedals, footrest and kick-offs in aluminum, and the dashboard covered in Technotep "Grana Nabuck".

HIGH TECH Rich is also the technological equipment of commodity and safety systems as standard. The ABS and the ESP are flanked by electronic speed regulation and limiting devices and rear parking sensors . The climate is bizona, the navigation is displayed in 3D on a 7-inch screen, while the music can play from any kind of support : the audio system includes a CD player , Mp3 , wma, DVD, the USB socket, the player SD card and Juke Box function.

MORE ' Always on the subject of technology, the Black Yearling provides a standard package , the Easy Motion , and another in the list of options, the Vision . In the first listed starting, the automatic headlamp and wiper, the ' adjustment to the reverse of the electric exterior mirrors, the electrochromic interior rearview mirror, the headlights "Follow Me Home" and the detector of the front obstacles. With the second is added to' the Xeno directional headlamps, the headlight washers, the automatic headlight alignment and the tire pressure loss indicator.

FURY A DIESEL OR GASOLINE The French "colt" - so you can translate the English term Yearling - you can have two different engines , one petrol, the other diesel.Fitted with the 1.6 16V THP 156 CV costs € 32,000 , excluding options, but if you opt for the 2.0 16V HDi with 163 hp , the bill increases by € 3,000, reaching a base of € 35,000, both engines are Euro 5 approved.

SECOND CHANCE Almost a sort of reparation move by the Lion, this limited series is destined exclusively for Italy. In fact, the House had already produced a special version of the RCZ - always super-accessory, but with a pearly white livery - simply called "Limited Edition" , which had exhibited at the last Francofoorte exhibition, which was so successful (the 200 copies were all sold online to fans of ten different countries, of which only three Italians) to leave unanswered the demand of many other aspiring customers.

Well that's my lot !!

So if we know of any other lost Special / Limited Editions post here. I know the Asphalt sold about 75 in the UK but what it's overall selling number was I don't know ??

Cheers

Well I’m going to stick my neck out here and say that the Launch Edition is the rarest Z model in the UK with only 36 cars unless anyone knows better?
Not blowing me own trumpet by the way.

Excremental, innit?
Don't tread in it, so why sit in it and drive it?
Anyway, I once had a Wartburg Knight Estate (cue laughter!) in a pale brown.
It really was the most disgusting sight and about the same to drive - two stroke with some sort of centrifugal clutch which meant it coasted when you would have liked a bit of engine braking; 'orrible!

How would one go about finding the production number for a limited edition model, i.e: #73 of 200?

Guppy most Limited Editions do have the build number somewhere, Neil will correct me here but for the Launch Edition it was on the bottom of the roof arch ie 125/200.
And with the Raidillion as you can see from the above posts.... it was stamped on the gear knob...

This is the info on the Launch Edition which celebrates Peugeot's 200th year in industry...

Peugeot has unveiled a special edition version of its RCZ at the Frankfurt motor show.

The exclusive model will be available to the first 200 customers who buy a Peugeot RCZ. The car is significant as it will be launched in the same year Peugeot celebrates its 200th year as an industrial brand.

See the high-res Peugeot RCZ picture gallery

Power comes from a 154bhp 1.6-litre petrol engine, which it shares with the Mini Roadster concept. It is mated to a six-speed manual ‘box.

It rides on matte black 19-inch alloy wheels, which sit in chrome wheel arches. The 200 models come in pearlescent white and its double bubble roof comes in carbonfibre.

Inside, it gets a Nappan black leather heated seats and equipment includes bi-xenon headlights and rear parking sensors.

It will cost from 35,500 euro (£31,585) when it goes on sale next year.

The Bistre colour is actually stunning in real life. It looks like black at first but has amazing metallic flake in it that just shimmers

Yes I must admit brown does not sound a good colour, but when you see it in the flesh with the sun shinning on the flake it looks a little special.

Guppy - here is the marking on the Launch Edition Arch...

Cheers

I'll have to take your word for it because the day I buy a brown car will be the day they admit me to the funny farm and stick me in a rubber room... :brickwall:
