Slight knocking

So my Z is still magnificent, one small thing. There's a slight knocking noise coming from the right rear when going really slow over bumps, any ideas?
And don't say ... go faster!

Going faster would be stupid. Turn the music up instead..?

Is yours still under warranty?

There's been some issues with the front engine mounts creating noise, but not personally heard about issues with the rear...

Is anything rattling about in the storage thing in the boot, where the pump etc is? Knocks can be confusing things, my OH was convinced a knock I had came from the rear but it turned out to be engine mounts. Might be worth getting them checked out.

Ok, so the slight knocking is a bit of a loose heat shield on the exhaust. Being tightened up tomorrow

It can be anything on the suspension, very hard to diagnose over the net especially as it is not a common fault. Front knock is due to top shock mounts. Have they checked shock mounts?

Finally the garage (after another three trips) have alleviated the problem - though it is not completely cured.
A greased spoiler, padding in the boot around the spare wheel space - which has the pump/repair sludge machine - lubricated suspension bushes, suspension and engine mounts checked.
It's better and I think I may be being a bit fussy as I am driving a sports car car with 19inch wheels after all.
It's never gonna be like a hovercraft, is it?

A hover craft would be cool though

It would also be quite handy in the Deen today!!

*Humph* the amount of floods I drove through tonight, I've renamed the car "Amber the Arc" ........ (by floods I only mean mahoosive puddles, not meaning any offence to Southern England.......)

I know the question re knocking sound was solved for this post but Mine makes similar light knocking sound when going over bumps. Have a month left on warranty so going to get it investigated quick smart! Will report back on what garage says!

Be interesting to see how you get on. Like I say mine wasn't cured - it's just a bit better.
My personal opinion is it's something to do with the rear suspension but they can't be ars#d having a proper look!
It also seems to be a bit better when there's a bit of weight in the boot! :eusa-think:

Id be interested how you get on too!
Ive had my 200 thp a month now and have a dull knocking knocking noise at low speed over certain bumps.
It seems to be nearside rear not bad but enough to annoy me
