Weird one. Have some led side lights on my mk1. On auto lights with the day time running lights switched on.

The side light/day time running light on a bulb is out.

Switch to manual and full lights both side lights work!! Can't figure it out. Help me please

Are you sure you have the correct type of bulbs fitted? How many contacts do the bulbs have?

Another post said mk1's have the drl and side light in the same bulb.
So when headlight is off drl is on, side light is off
When headlight is on, drl is off and side light is on.

I tried for an hour the other day to guess my password for a well know website. Eventually I gave in, told them I’d forgotten it, jumped through a few hoops to prove I was me & eventually they gave me a new one. I tried to log in an hour later....... :wtf: forgot the new password :helpme:

The classic DRL are 21/5w staggered pole, same as brake/tail light baubs. 21w is activated as DRL, 5w when headlights are on.
