Should I buy one?

Hi,
I am very close to buying an RCZ, but the two demo cars (from two different dealers) I tried had problems (broken seat, missing glove box, faulty heating system, parking sensors not working, creased dash). Coupled with worrying owner reviews on the What Car site, I'm getting nervous. I love the look of the car and the drive is a lot of fun, but I'm worried about the build quality.

What's your experience of owning an RCZ been like so far?

I've had Freddie now since late October and clocked up just short of 4000 very happy and trouble-free miles. I love this car more and more every time I get behind the wheel and when walking back towards it. I'd say go for it, you're always going to get rogue cars in all makes but I can't fault the RCZ. Your main problem might be to decide what colour  .

Oh, and welcome to the forum :greetings-wavingblue: .

The build quality has impressed me the most to be honest. :wtf:

Its a clean and tidy place to sit and very well put together.

So far the experience has been very very good and I am glad I bought this over the VW or Audi

I second what everyone else has said. You have to remember that the cars you have driven are dealer demo cars and are not really looked after. They are not treated with any TLC. I've had mine 5 months now and I've had no issues with it what-so-ever. I absolutely love it to bits and as BangorRCZ says, you love it more everytime you drive it and especially when you are walking back to it and it stands there looking absolutely gorgeous

Thanks for the comments folks. It's time to move on from my Alpha GT and I really like the RCZ. When I bought the GT, I heard all sorts of horror stories over quality and reliability, but my experience was only ever positive. If Alpha had a next gen model, I'd buy another, but they don't.

There's got to be a good reason not to put yet another TT on the road, so I think I'll go for the RCZ

One last question, would you upgrade to the JBL sound system?

I didn't and the sound system that's the regular is very good, but then I really only listen in short 30min bursts and mostly to the radio so I'm no connoisseur!

remember some dealers i recon are robbing parts from there demo cars to repair warranty work. so i would try a demo from another dealer, im sure you will be impressed.

That's exactly what they did. One swapped out the passenger seat for a customer, the other swapped out the whole glove box. I'm surprised Peugeot let them do this!

not good practice but then again maybee parts are still thin on the ground due to new model.

Hi Boz66  :greetings-wavingblue:

This is a fantastic car to drive and so damn stylish compared to what is out there! I've driven TT's and my brother-in-law has a Scirrocco .. the build quality on my Peugeot RCZ is superb and can't fault it at all. Nothing to fear other than the traffic police and envious onlookers! :D It's good to see Peugeot back producing superb cars again. :)
