Looking to sell my R. No pictures at the moment but I will take some soon. In short, it's Mercury Grey, 14 plate, full service history, 46k miles. Everything is in very good condition, including the alloys, which have protectors on. The front brake discs are the originals and are very well kept. Going to be honest, I haven't had it long, but I feel I've jumped in at the deep end given it's my second car, and I'd rather have something more practical and comfortable for travelling to and from work, and making the kinds of journeys I make. Under a 18 month warranty including wear and tear cover that started on the 15th of January. Looking for sensible offers, hopefully around £12-£13k. Any more questions please ask as I've probably missed a lot. Thanks

Sounds like a good price and I know that many forum members have been keen to get there hands on a RCZ R... So don't think it's going to be on the market for long.. Good luck 🤞

Am I reading that right that you've only had it a month?!

If you have only had it a month it’s gonna start alarm bells ringing with potential purchasers :(

Yeah I'm well aware of that.. There is nothing wrong with the car though, it just isn't right for me, and I'm just not really happy. I also sadly can't see it being kept in as good condition as it has been by the previous owner, with me owning it long term that is. I'd rather someone who could look after it properly and appreciate it have it.

If you are looking to move it on for £12-13K can I ask what you paid for it a month ago?

The R is definitely going to be the one to keep and that’s only going to go up in value, there’s never many for sale at any one time so condition and mileage is what dictates price, I don’t think your far off at 12-13K
Just have a look what they’re fetching over in Europe €25,000 plus so for us they’re a bargain!

When I first got mine we had some French visitors at work and they were all stood around admiring it in the car park at dinner. They said they had never seen one in France as too expensive. Go figure! lol

I know it’s crazy that a French brand car costs so much more in France and Europe than here in Britain obviously someone’s getting ripped off! 😉

Anybody have any clue how much I'd get on average from a Peugeot dealer? Just to give me an idea

Forget going anywhere near a dealer.

I have just made an enquiry against a 45k car, mine is a 63 plate 200GT low mileage, every kit on, pristine condition, one of the most sought after colours, cost new over £32k with all the bits.........

They offered me £4300.

When I stopped laughing, I started to cry.........

Yes DKZ that's 100%right but there are other RCZ owners that just use them as there every day car and don't feel it is worth anything and will take any offers on a new all singing and dancing that's where they make a killing from and knocking on the price down over here in the UK not like the price in Europe....
The dealer scammers UK

The only trouble is with the RCZ s as is the same with all the second hand cars these days the sell on price just bombs out of sight there are a good few out there but prices are mostly below the £7500 range & that's for some decent looking tin but no matter how great a car looks the reality is the second hand market is in decline as & far as Marques go you can go out & buy top end decent spec motors for a third of a wedge & still have money left for a good night out its in the doldrums unless you can haggle a dealer for some sympathy
I bought my 200 GT for around £8000 it had just over 30.000 on the dial if I went to but it today with the 43.000 its done I wouldn't pay over £4.200 for it because I know its only worth P/Ex money once I bought it & had it for a few years plus it would need to pristine to sell in its latter years

There is a clear divide in private and trade sales with the RCZ R. Dealer cars sell very quickly and usually for strong money. Private cars aren't for some reason.

Book prices are terrible just now. Selling prices are way over book prices. I do think book prices are very unfair and have little accuracy. Autotrader's price guide is starting to move up, but still values some cars higher than other when I see no reason.

The dealer you bought from has just sold a 14 plate car advertised at £12.5k. That price is deemed high, but they have a 15 plate for £13,750 and that is a fair price according to Autotrader. Hambrook are clearly going after the R model.

You're not going to get £13k for a private sale 2014 car on 45k miles. This car was advertised under £13k before any discount negotiated at Hambrook Specialist Cars.

I do think the dealer sales are doing well as they are offering finance, warranty and there is consumer rights if something goes wrong.

What warranty have you got that covers wear and tear? Claim limit? Most of extended warranties that dealers sell end up worthless unless it is a manufacturer supported warranty. They won't be wear and tear though.

People buying these want to avoid the brakes bill. Your car has worn discs and old looking calipers.

Take the wheel protectors off. They don't look good and people will think they are hiding corrosion. It does look like white worm on a spoke. Clean them up if they are in very good condition. Presentation is everything in a sale.

I'm also surprised that the dealer didn't put a fresh MOT on that car prior to sale. I wouldn't expect a dealer to sell a car of significant value with 5 months MOT.

Good luck with the sale.

I have put it up for sale at a more reasonable price for what it is. Decided it's better for me just to take the hit, but I still can't see myself having much success selling it, given the situation.

The dealer car at £16k has sold. The private car at £11,250 has gone too.

There was a cheap dealer car last week that sold fast. It went back up today, but has sold instantly.

i didn't think people would be spending money, but you never know.
