Okay I have seen posts for this in the past but they have never been concluded, kind of see why now.
i just bought a fairly decent black leather electric interior. Spent a bit of time when I got it giving it a full clean and retouching a little bit of lost colour on the drivers bolster before restretching and then finally conditioning.
Fitted the whole kit in thinking I would need to program in, got excited when the functions worked straight away (Up, down, back, forward etc), no memory programming.
Went into BSI, (might not get all the steps 100%, getting old and memory not what it was), configuration, customer config, scrolled to driver memory seat, set to present saved.
Went to seat memory module and checked setting in seat ecu, controls=wired, memory buttons=on seat (copied my 308cc GT for settings), but still no memory learning function.
I can can BSI for Ecus, fine the memory unit, and can operate all motion functions by the scanner, (so it’s operable thru can via BSI) I can also go into live data and see that the memory buttons are being activated, ie no1 button, no2 button etc active, I can go in and see the seat back, height and rail position values (like 653742) and these change with movement. It just won’t program. I seen a video of them functioning before they were removed.
Few pics of the seats added for eye candy, before and after I reworked them.

Has anyone any additional notions of what I can try?
Is there another module/ecu I need to alter to ’accept’ them?

Greatly appreciate any input.

Gliptone GT11 and GT15, leather cleaner and conditioner. To unstretch the seats damp cloth and a 600deg heat gun, after which they got conditioned again to ensure the hides didn’t get dried.
Bolster was repainted with leather dye and an airbrush after cleaning, before conditioner.

The seats have a module that needs to be configured, but I don't know how to do it or if that will solve your problem.

Also, your car doesn't have side mirrors with position sensors like those with memory seats, which also have different wiring harness

Hi thanks for the screen shot, gives me a thread to follow.
I have the memory module and can communicate with it thru BSI and showing all ecu’s, and can see the three memory buttons activate When pushed, so know it’s operating and communicating.
However reading that wee bit of info in green I may need to code to vin (if the old vin is in the module it may be hanging thru connection on the can network????). The mirrors bit, more info for thought, though with programming as ‘not indexed‘ i thought it wouldn’t be looking for it.
Roll on the weekend til I get another bit of time at it.
If I get any positive outcomes I will post for future reference.

The part I'm interested in is how you unstretched the leather...mine is looking pretty stretched, are you saying you just moisten it with a damp cloth (to stop from burning) and hit it with 600degree hot air? Is it that simple?

I wouldn’t say simple, but yes that’s it. Damp cloth does a couple of things, adds moisture and quench cools. Damp not sopping. You have to take your time and gradually warm the leather up, continuously damping and being cautious not to overheat as this can dry and crack/burn the leather. Not having done it before if you have anything you can practice on, even starting at a lower temp to start with. Making sure to condition well after. When the leather starts to shrink back there is a mental thing to just barge on, just take your time and let it happen slowly in stages. Also your are looking to improve not perfect, set that in your mind straight away. Don’t focus heat on a spot, move around the area of the base.
If you go for it, let us know how you get on, and don’t blame me if you get impatient. Allow about 30min per seat base, after cleaning.

Appreciate the detailed info, I would definitely give it a go but I just realized I only have a hair dryer which ain't gonna give me 600degrees lol. Might have to go get a heat gun, would be useful anyway for heat shrink when I do electrical stuff. Cheers!

If you are getting a heatgun, get an adjustable temp one. They can be found on Amazon or eBay for around £20 for good starter.
