Sealing heat shield against pink dust?

The RCZ R's have a documented issue with pink dust settling in the engine bay, with the heat shield as source. As far as I have found out, the heat shield consist of two pieces of metal with a layer of glass-wool insulation inbetween. Apparently the seal between the two pieces of metal is not sufficient and the insulation leaks out over time, spreading the dust.

A new heat shield does not really solve this. I thought about removing the heat shield and somehow improving the seal bewteen the two pieces of metal, for instance with this:
5cm x 5m Heat Reflective Tape Gold 400 °C - Heat Shieldings B.V.
Or maybe some heat-proof sealant like this:
Amazon.com: J-B Weld 37901 ExtremeHeat High Temperature Resistant Metallic Paste - 3 oz : Grocery & Gourmet Food

Anybody has some thoughts on this? Looking for a long term solution to keep my engine bay clean.

It is normal not sure about OCD; I had a brand new heat shield fitted by Peugeot after a local dealer damaged my heatshield (like many seem to be dented) leaning on it. To remove/refit is a complete arse by all accounts front bumper lights etc needs to be removed to get to lower bolts of the heatshield; I was told. The pink dust was evident immediately after a brand new one was fitted. Be more worried when there is no pink dust as the healt shield loses it's efficiency.

There was a used R (possible track car) that had had a Forge 'turbo' blanket fitted to it, would worry me given the huge amount of heat generated by the R.

Just use an airline/blower to remove dust...or have a possible world of pain to replace........
