WOW

That meens you have about 66 miles to get to a garadge to fill up

Don't do what I did, and get there and not know how to open the filler cap

You would think that would be the first thing they tell you before you drive off in your new car would'nt you ;)

Indeed... a lot of manufacturers are moving that way. I don't think anyone currently offers more than 3 non-metallic choices. Don't see the point personally, they may as well increase the price of the car and make metallic standard.

Well, there I was in m'new shiny car, pulls up to the pump, starts looking inside for the filler release handle . . . . . :?
Not on the drivers side, maybee on the passengers side :?:
By this time everyones looking at the car, and thinking, "wot a plonker, he dose'nt know how to open the filler cap"
I searched everywhere, but no, nothing !
In the end I went strait to the cap and pulled it, a bit more force  , and up she popped :D
I filled up quickly, and went home, got the book out staight away, to find that . . . .

When you unlock the doors, the filler cap unlocks too (and the boot), and all you have to do is simply push down on the cap, release it, and it pops open, to close it, you just do the same.

Why didn't I think of that . . . :?

My dealer has recently had advertised the same make and model car as my current one,(except mine has cruise control) same reg year albeit theirs has half the mileage of mine but they are asking £10999 for it. The dealer is giving me me £6500 trade in for mine. Now there is no way on earth that the difference in mileage, on a 3 year old car, is £4500 different. Mine is in absolute mint condition - it gets detailed to within an inch of its life - its been well pampered. I know they have their mark-up but that is ridiculous. Which is why I want to try and sell it myself but at a realistic price :!:[/quote]

Hi RCZ1,
I usually sell my cars private because the part exch prices are usually so poor but we were happy with the trade in for my wife's car on this deal (After shopping around and negotiating). I would definitely think about selling your car private and as you say ask a realistic price. I use the Glass's website through Network Q ( http://www.networkq.co.uk/buying/value-your-car/) to get a good idea of the prices along with the prices on Autotrader etc, although a lot of people over price their cars and subsequently don't sell them.

Got a full set of carpet mats front and boot, cant say the salesmans patter that it was difficult to obtain was quite truthful!

But I wanted white and was glad it was free

Both Peugeot Garages I went to immediately closed down any thoughts of Discount.
Wasn't too surprised, as it's a brand new model, only just launched and there's restricted sales at this time.

The Garage that offered a fair Trade-In price got my order, the one that offered a stupid price didn't - simple !!

Regarding fuel, when I bought my new Volvo drove off the forecourt and realised that I was on fumes. Had to go straight to a garage round the corner at 20mph to fill it up. Never forget that...grrr !!

A similar thing happend when I got my Nissan pickup, £26,000 and it had no fule in whatsoever, it was missing as I drove off the forecourt, so I pulled into the garadge next to the delarship, and filled up (this was when peterol was at it's highest price) £112.00 . . . .

Thankfully, the RCZ had about a third of a tank, :D

Hi Pughy3

Thanks for that link I'll have a look at it. I did do my research before I went to order the RCZ to make sure how much my car was worth at the time. That's why I was disappointed with the part ex that I got because I knew it was on the very low side. I will try and sell it nearer the time the RCZ is due. :)

I know its virtually impossible to get discounts on the rcz but when you compare it to other cars (and I looked at loads of different ones before I decided on the RCZ) I think the price is good for what you get. Im going to have to get off this site - it just makes me want the car more and more - cant wait till September lol

my dealer, took off the £410 for metallic paint instead of adding it on ! He realised just after I had paid the deposit. Also got a great deal for my PX. carbon 156GT with grey 19" sortilege wheels.
Has anyone ever considered painting the roof arches? wonder what it would look like

I agree... seems stupid to have one colour and charge for everything else!
