Sales Service ?

Hi all,

When I bought my RCZ last year they serviced it before I collected it...

In the service book it is stamped, but the comment says "Cat B Sales Service"?

Has anyone heard of this, or indeed know what it consists of?

I'm trying to figure out if it has had done what is per the service book or just had the screenwash topped up!

I would just ask them, but that's me!
Before retiring I did high mileage and frequent services, and they started putting "sundries" on the bill.
I queried it and was passed from pillar to post until the chief mechanic reluctantly itemised what that covered; he was embarrassed, to say the least when admitting the silly stuff like tissues to wipe their hands, but at least I found out.

B for 'bollocks'? Sorry to be crass but my experience with Main Dealer Workshop's is that they appear to cut every corner financially they can especially with profit margins when outing a part ex/used vehicle whether they actually serviced the car or changed the oil and assorted filters before you picked it up would be questionable especially so if it was not due within or required by the normal servicing regime, they just will stamp the book as such. I hope I am wrong, I only trust what I literally see them undertake.

Had mine serviced on a service contract 0n 19.09.2018. I have had 6 emails this week telling me my service is due, and when I ignored them, I got one telling me I needed to contact them as soon as possible. :shock:

When I called them service reception “couldn’t understand” why I had been contacted, and told me to ignore them.

I have had 2 more emails since. If that’s what their admin organisation is like, it makes you worry what their servicing is like

The only excitement I get these days, in my inbox, are very generous offers from unpronounceable places in Africa, and very enticing young ladies offering their services. :eusa-whistle:
I resist the temptation of responding to either, as the deals sound too good to be true.
Perhaps the Pug service contract has been outsourced to either of the above.
You might get more than you bargained for, eh? :eusa-think:

ha, quite possibly.

i did the latest service myself - was happy to find a 'proper' peugeot oil filter fitted... although it's probably the original :lol: :lol:

also changed the plugs, maybe a placebo but i'm sure the car pulls better since..
