Safer jacking

Came across this low entry trolley jack which is ideal for getting under our low RCZ’s and getting a solid lift on the chassis rather than the toffee jacking points. The cup lifts out to leave a flat lifting surface which I think gives a more stable lift.
Quite a bargain too Halfords have reduced this from £60 to £35!
Seems robust for the money.

PS. That carpet is in my garage not my living room lol.

Prats came a month ago and left two grand deposit in readies, and have not heard from them since.
However I have a piece of paper (that was Chamberlain, wasn't it?) that says if not all done and dusted by end of June, I have the deposit and can sell motor. :x

But WTF, when a bloke puts two grand down as deposit then disappears.
It's now a month and no trace.
Perhaps the poor sod had an accident and is in hospital, got his collar felt and is behind bars, or is just a prat.
Whatever; I am a bit pee'ed orf and frustrated that I am not rid of Zero and don't have all the dosh for an RCZ. :evil:
My agent is on the job, so news soon, I hope.

I have the same jack and noticed you used a wood block, presumably at the front of the car, around the rather flimsy jacking point. What a piece of 'under-engineering' that was. Do you use the same method with the wood block when jacking up the rear wheel ?

Hi Dave, yes I use the block of wood for the rear, I jack up on the chassis rails under the car not the jacking points a lot stronger and stable.

I have the same Halfords Jack, I use a rubber hockey puck instead of the wood. Same places to jack, avoiding the official points like the plague.

I will call in halfords next time i'm in town.
and ebay for the hockey puck pad.

I'll sort out a photo soon too.
I'll park it next to the neighbours white one, no sooner had I taken ownership of mine than see bought one as well.
would you like it with or without the bike rack and towbar?
