Rusting /brake issues

Guys

Wondering if any one can help me. My car which i got 3 months ago and have only done 5000 in miles seems to have developed some sort of rusting all around the 4 wheels. Has any one had the same issue ? i find it a bit strange that a brand new car would have these issues so early in its life. I took to it to the dealership and was informed that all brakes pad would be changed on warranty. I personally feel it has nothing do with changing brakes but i am listening to what the experts are saying on this occasion . This is on all 4 wheels.

do let me know as i am getting a bit concerned

Unfortunately it seems like a very common issue with RCZs!

Hi Changing the brake pads will make no difference, looks like the brake disks need changing, Are you sure you did not get pads and disks mixed up. ???

Hi

I think I might have mixed that up. Do you thnk changing the disks would help or would I be back for another change. Wondering if this is a wider RCZ issue which needs attention

Silver hammerite Smooth does the job
You have hit the nail on the head, with this reply. It is not a RCZ problem as such, If you take a look at other cars around and about you, then you will see this issue. However the wheels on the RCZ make it so easy to see the rust without having to look too hard. New discs will rust just the same, so you need to get them painted. That will cure the unsightly problem. Most RCZ's looked like yours do right from day one on handover.
Be happy.... Don't worry

Yes changing the disks will solve the problem in the short term but they will rust again. This is not just a problem with the RCZ, I have just had to paint my disks and calipers on my corsa due to corrossion caused by the high temperature they get when braking hard. As above use the hammerite smooth paint as it stands up to high temperatures, Why dont Peugeot use it in the first place, must be cheaper than replacing disks every time.

Painted my wheel hubs with hammerite silver 14 Mths ago, 1st week I had the car, still perfect. Calipers done also in red. Why Peugeot cant do this in the fist place!!

I had my discs done all round because of this problem. Looked great until the local car wash stuck the jet wash to close and stripped it off. Bloody hose pipe ban. Flash floods yet hose ban still going on!!

I don't let them anywhere near with the jet wash or their break dust remover!!
Now I have new disks I hand wash and just brush a little WD40 on the painted bit only before and after handwashing.
