Rust on side intrusion beams....

When I had the doors apart to deaden them I noticed that there was some surface rust showing on the beams.

Thought it might be worth letting you guys know about.

That should be covered under the bodywork warranty with Peugeot, can't remember how long it's covered off hand, but I seem to think @ 6 years :eusa-think:

Think its a 12 year warranty only if it has had the checks done every 4 years (in the service book)!!

That warranty is only valid if the rust is coming from the inside of the car. Outside rust is usually never worth asking for warranty repair.

Never seen a Peugeot younger then 10 years with rust

Yeah it's a bit odd, but given water does get into the door it doesn't surprise me.

Figured it might be worse for you UK boys and girls.
