I'm convinced by this thread to get the peugeot 3D option

Lol! Yeah, I am glad I bought the 3d! It's worth every penny ad in the global scheme of spending £31k on a pegeout it's not worth the hassle!

I'm happy with the aftermarket one, the sat nav is way overpriced...I'm even able to use the dvd player whilst driving the car ;)

Hey do you have the details of the make and model of the head unit? Also does everything still work as it should?

@RCZ007
The product looks good, could you post a picture and details of the installation such as if additional parts were required ?

Were you able to maintain full control of the steering wheel functions ?

Did you manage to get it working without loosing the functions controlled by the radio, clock etc.?

Hi RCZ S-S
i have often wondered about these units myself, My concerns are the usual ones.
It made in China! now i suspect 90% of all the electronics we have in the house are from that region of the world? so why not in our cars?
if it breaks how do we repair it? or is it a matter that we consider it to be a throw away item?
and what do we do if it doesn't do as it says on the box?
there is a good thread on the french rcz forum but I'm damned if i can find it again, where two guys brought them. it maybe worth tracking that thread and sending them a pm to get an update.

lastly. considering that the whole of radio broadcasting is supposed to change to DAB next year!!!! (cant see it myself?) is it possible to add a little box to the system to upgrade it? or again are we to consider it throw away?

Would be interesting to see if it works.

My thoughts at the moment as i consider changing mine. pioneer avh-x3600dab and add on sat nav module with Vibe Black air speakers and a pioneer flat panel sub under the rear seat.
The new wiring harness (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Peugeot-RCZ-2 ... 5d49b82aa8) covers all RCZ with sensors and does work with all the controls for menu from the steering wheel stalks. But no mention of the jbl amp.

regards

Hi,

in Germany FM Radio will not be switched off before 2018, so this is no negative argument to me.
And of course, all this units will be assembled in China.

Does anybody know the manufacturer of this unit or any other supplier?
Is this an original part from peugeot?

I want to know for sure if this unit will work in my RCZ 2012, with JBL, onboard computer, steering wheel, and PDC front and behind.

Many thanks for your help
