I used a specific placeholder for 308CC and RCZ, same as the 308 but painted in black. Ordered from France, the only place I could find it!

it's Pioneer AVIC F920-BT, an all in one unit featuring nav, dvd, bluetooth etc.
I bought the black specific placeholder from an internet store.
It took more than 1 day to install this Pioneer, since they had to remove the original radio, install a specific unit for using the original commands on the steering wheel. They also install a small switch that let you use the steering wheel commands to control the menu on the original display. So none of the functionality was lost, except for the bip bip of the rear parking sensors: they're going to put (still waiting for this piece) a small buzzer that reproduces this sound, but as for now the display shows me as well the approaching obstacle :dance:
I'd say, 1200€ defenitely worth the money, since the wipcom 3D is over 1800€

the switch probably came with the adaptor, they both have been bought from a store in Italy which provides all of these interfaces for many different brands. Many people are scared and don't think such these things can be made on their cars, but let me only consider that these interfaces can be used for all the peugeot that features a radio with the menu button. Pretty simple at the end, not as the Peugeot dealers and even my friends thought...

I've done the installation as well (not by myself, but with a professional installer); however, I can tell you what are the required parts:
- A standard 308 Radio Placeholder
- Paint (since the placeholder will need repainting of its outline) - remove the ashtray from the car - when you buy the paint, use that ashtray's color as reference
- Removal of the radio is pretty straightforward (it's separated from the rest of the dashboard)
- Original radio functionality:
* Digital clock will continue to work (although you cannot set it - see comment below on how to fix that)
* Bluetooth functionality will be lost (however, many new aftermarket radios have built-in Bluetooth)
* Rear parking sensors will continue to display on screen - however, the beeping sound will NOT work (see comment below on how to fix that)
Fixing clock adjustment:
* The original radio was installed underneath the driver's seat, only hooking up power
** The radio does not interfere when adjusting the chair (hidden away)
** It's scotch-taped to the floor - no screws or drilling or any of that kind
** When you want to set the clock, you simply take out the radio and adjust as you normally would
Fixing rear parking sensors beeping sound:
* This will work only if your aftermarket radio connects only to the front speakers (and not the rear)
* Same solution as fixing clock adjustment - installing the original radio underneath the driver's seat (see above)
* Though, this time we need to hook-up an extra pair of cables which actually connect to the rear speakers
** The needed extra pair of cables can be discovered by simply plugging in and out cables from the built-in radio while placing the shift stick in reverse - when you hear the beeping sound - bingo! (just make sure there's something obstructing the rear of the vehicle when you do it)

sorry to say classz, I REPLACED the radio with the new one still having the same functions as mentioned (rear parking, clock adjust etc....)
You only need a specific interface to control the menu from the steering wheel commands, as well as installing a buzzer for the bip bip (rear parking sensors)

What are your views on the speed of the unit, I have read all sorts of bad things about slow startup time and slow reaction times.
Does it do post codes ?
And how much did it cost, unit . . . . and then fitting . . . .

yes, a bit slow as for the startup, but then excellent for crossings (because of the automatic zoom in function).
The overall quality of GPS and maps is worse than any of the TomTom, but you can still live with it.
Hardware and fitting was 1200 euro, much less than the original unit, at the end a pretty nice all-in-one unit, I'm definitely satisfied

Hello!
I have installed a Pioneer AVIC F930-BT into my RCZ. I used the CTHPE01 so rear parking beep and controlling the radio with the stick next to the driving wheel works.
But some things are not perfect yet. Perhaps someone could help me.
- The old radio had additional to the big wire bundle two inidividual simillar wires. Are they both antenna? If yes the AVIC can use only one? If no, what is the other one?
- I think the RCZ has two microphes built in. Was some able to use them with the new radio?
- Has someone be able to use the USB and other connector inside the arm rest after replacement?

I can't answer to the first question since it was not me that I installed the radio.
As for the microphone, I can tell you that the original one has been replaced by the new one provided with the unit. As for the fitting, there wasn't space enough and they installed it outside the spotlight box. I assume they also replaced the original USB plug placed in the arm rest with the new one provided with the unit, so that now I can still plug the iphone from the same place

I just bought a Fakra Diversity DIN adapter. I hope this will connect the two antennas to the AVIC F930-BT with a good quality radio signal.
But I found one more problem: I don't hear navigation commands, only the music gets mute. I think it is because the commands are spoken only by the front speakers and it seams also no music is coming from the front speakers. I have to check the wires once again.
