Thanks for the speedy reply! I’ll try that and give it a bit of a grease up as well, can’t hurt I guess. Just out of interest so you know at all what the torx screw on the side of the motor is for? I know the smaller one is used to manually lift and lower the spoiler but there’s a larger on on the side
Have you tried manually lifting the spoiler to full height with the Allen key? Then try to lower it via the interior switch.
This may reset the height position maybe worth a try

Tried, no luck.
also I’ve just got back from work to find it’s now stuck in that position and the button is unresponsive 😫

My spoiler gets stuck each time I disconnect the battery. I find it resets when I take the car over 50mph

Afternoon guys/gals,
Quick update...
Spoiler is finally sorted. I ended up swapping motors from my original and all is well. I was asking about a torx screw on the side of the motor, it seems that this might be used in the factory to calibrate the revolutions that the gears turn. I’m pretty confident that the motor itself is working but suspect the screw may have been turned rendering it uncalibrated. This would explain why it was only going half up. I didn’t want to spend the day messing around with it so I took the motor from my original assembly and swapped them over. Bingo!!!

spent the rest of the afternoon degreasing and keying my new wing mirror before I start priming it.
further updates to follow. If anyone is interested- heres a pic of the motor screw I’ve been waffling on about

Good morning all,
So finally I’ve managed to spray up and fit my wing mirror. I’m super happy with the results.
it was a little time consuming prepping and spraying the wing mirror but it was well worth it and I’m sure I’ve saved a tonne of 💷💷💷 by doing it all myself. It really wasn’t difficult at all, if I managed it, I’m sure anyone can!
I’ve attached a few photos showing some of the steps and a final fitted shot. Unfortunately the dreaded rain started falling, but once I get an opportunity to take a couple of decent shots of the car, I’ll post them as promised.
If anyone is planning to undertake either the spoiler removal/fitting or the wing mirror and needs help or has questions please do shout. I’m more than happy to talk through with anyone planning it.

Just do over 98 & you can see it in the mirror in second stage deployment. That’s what I do 😁👮‍♂️ Or what I would do if it was legal 🤭🤥
