Hi

Just found this forum and I think it's great!

I ordered my Charcoal RCZ in January and just picked him up (yes it's a him lol), last Thursday 4th April, and I can't believe how smooth he is, gears, general drive etc Oh and the seats are sooooooooooooo comfortable. I owned an MG for 10 years and walked into the dealership to buy the Peugeot 207cc (was expecting to get another convertible), well something must have shoved me through some particular doors because as soon as I walked in there he was! I fell in love immediately and didn't even know what the car was lol I told the man, I want that, then said 'what it is by the way?' lol

I didn't even test drive it, I just knew I wanted it! And how pleased am I!!!!!

I need help with a name :) So it has to be a male name, he makes me feel safe & secure, has to be something cool & sleek. So far I have got Titan, Jenson, Tyson, Zeus. But none of them can be right as they haven't stood out yet. Any ideas people?

Have attached a pic :)

If anyone knows of any meets around Lincolnshire, let me know and I'll be there, would love to meet some like-minded RCZ owners. I haven't seen one other where I live.

Zoe

Welcome to the forum Zoe!! I'm so glad you found us and hope you'll find the time to get involved. It really is the best forum on the Internet!

As for your RCZ,he's a cracker. Your story made me chuckle. Sounds like it was love at first sight!! :thumbup: My suggestion for a name is Hermes. This is why (in part nicked from Wikipedia as I am too lazy to fully write it up myself);

Hermes was a god of transitions and boundaries. He was quick and cunning, and moved freely between the worlds of the mortal and divine, as emissary and messenger of the gods, intercessor between mortals and the divine.... He was protector and patron of travelers!

Seems like a name well suited to the feelings that you have described him instilling.

Hi Zoe,

NIce work, and I like your buying technique... I've used that once before on a beemer. No test drive, just take it. :)

You've purchased a very nice machine. I like your tastes... when are you moving to Oz :)

We have much longer roads down here.

By the way, did you get a manual or an auto?

Hello Zoe, always nice to welcome a fellow female RCZ owner to the forum :)

I love the fact that you didn't even know what the car was and had to ask  Like me, I didn't have a test drive when I got my Pearl (mines a girl ;) ). I hadn't even seen one in the flesh, only pictures on the Internet, but like you, just knew that it was the car for me :). You won't be disappointed - your car looks fabulous by the way.

Whereabouts in Lincolnshire are you? You are not far away from me - only over the Bridge. You could come to our Yorkshire Meet on the 4th May. All details are in the Meets section of the forum. We would love you to come along, if you can :)

With regards to a name, what about Claude (after John Claude Van Damme) or Zorro - dark, masked and mysterious!

Gorgeous car. My vote goes for Zorro but I like the reasons behind Hermes. Love the handbag comment, still laughing.
When mine finally arrives I will be adding to the female driver contingent, and I think I will follow Zoe's lead and post a picture and ask for names. I think mine is going to be a girl but won't know for certain till she comes!

I believe that our cars are named instinctively and therefore running what is essentially a poll to find a name in counter productive.

Hi Zoe and welcome to the forum. I've been on here since mid January when I got Amber and they're a real friendly lot and very knowledgeable when it comes to RCZ's.
Your car looks stunning and the excitement you're feeling right now doesn't go away. Mine hasn't anyway !!!
As for naming him, why not consider a more user friendly or quirky name like Oscar or Brian or maybe even Dave ?
Anyway, now that I've probably made matters worse I'll depart so just a final WELCOME to you and good luck with the naming.
Richard

A lovely looking car.

As I name my cars based on the number plate I'd have to call yours Felix, or Julie.
