How was my post OFFENDING :wtf: it was said in "tongue in cheek" not in a offensive manor  some peeps need to too loosen up a little  on this thin ice coated forum

It wasn't offensive Jass. A number of posts were reported for being off topic etc...including my own. I removed them simply to try and keep the peace and appease everyone.

Not at all Mac. I am probably one of the worst offenders for going off topic. :-o I don't think that it is necessary for threads to always rigorously stick to the topic nor would I normally be quick to take such action. However, the OP obviously felt strongly about wanting to keep his thread on topic and, as it was his thread after all, I obliged. There has been a slight lack of banter of late and, to be honest, I leapt at the chance to quip back to Jassy's initial remark. Therefore, I am every bit as guilty (if not the most guilty) here and freely hold my hand up. I removed the posts that were causing the aggro and took a seat on the naughty step. Now...let normal service resume  and I dearly hope that things aren't going to become too staid. However, perhaps on this occasion (at least) we might be better to relocate our banter? Does that make sense guys? Have I explained things better? I really hope so.

Jassy and Bigmac it's always nice to have a bit of humor but I started a thread and got 10 replies non of them has anything to do with my topic, I think it would also annoy you if it happened to you.
Anyway I am looking forward to tallking about our cars and also having fun with you guys.

What was it again oh right i seem to remember a topic before i bought mine, about a year ago somebody had there THP 200 dyno then and it was pushing out 217 bhp so maybe Peugeot just though GT200 sounded better than GT217. Feels like its got a bit more than 200 to me so any body asks i say it's 220 bhp oops :eusa-think:

yes mine has only 1000 Kms on the clock but i feel its getting stronger every day

Also I just visited my service center and they updated my ECU software but I am not sure if that made a difference.

Did they give you a software version number or release date for the ECU Upgrade?

I bought my car brand new but it's a late 2011 MY so I guess the software update is not something new so probably you guys already done it.
I asked the guy about the update date but he didn't know.

LOL, ok, response you'd expect from Peugeot. We should maybe start a thread with Engine ECU software revision numbers on it.

I have never heard of an "engine ECU" update merely a firmware update, which to my knowledge is for the media system operation.

When releasing new engines, manufacturers can fine tune certain parameters in the ecu to optimize it. Sometimes it give better consumption, sometimes more power, sometime both. If you remap your ecu, the aftermarket company push those ecu limits to the max to get peak power out of your engine

+1 I agree when I bought my previous 207 RC (GTi) they also updated the ECU software but i remember the car felt slower
Most manufacturers update the ECU software from time to time sometimes to lock their ECUs to prevent the tuners from installing changing the software.
