The Dolomiti is also very nice and you also always want to work in cresendo, because people always expect the next one is even better ;)

Hi Dan I have sent you PM regards Hotel room.
This time my wife will join me - Yeah !!

Just to clarify trip details and dates.... 23rd Sept 2018 - 29th Sept 2018.

Day 1 ( 23rd Sunday Sept 2018 ) We all meet in Austria stay 1 night here at Hotel Sports Resident Zillertal
Day 2 ( 24th Monday ) drive Dobbiaco Italy 230km - stay 3 nights Hotel Santer - 1st night Santer
Day 3 ( 25th Tuesday ) drive TRE CIME - 2nd night Santer
Day 4 ( 26th Wednesday ) drive Lago Di Braies - 3rd and last night Santer
Day 5 ( 27th Thursday ) drive Sella Group Range where do we stay this night ?
Day 6 ( 28th Friday ) drive back to Austria and stay 1 night Hotel Fischer
Day 7 ( 29th Saturday ) end of trip and we drive home - Boo !!

This makes 7 days and 6 nights Hotels, but after day 5 at the end of Thursday where do we stay. In the post it says
1 night Hotel Sports Resident Zillertal
3 nights Hotel Santer
1 night Hotel Fischer....
This only makes 5 nights 6 days. Could you please clarify is it 4 nights Hotel Santer ?
Meet up Sunday 23rd Sept drive home Saturday 29th September 2018 ??

If I have made massive mistake with dates - please help clarify.... Also do we have the 15 cars needed ?

Keep up the good work, I am sure this will be a very good trip - will it beat Austria trip ? - we'll have to see :D

Hi Mick,

You are correct it should be 4 nights at Hotel Santer.

The group arrives on Sunday 23rd and we drive home on Saturday 29th

We now have 10 RCZ's.

15 RCZ's is the limit, but we don't have to have 15 RCZ's to go on the trip.

Eyup Jeff and Francis, by this post do I take it you are going ?? Health being the deciding factor I guess .

So 10 upto now, not bad going and Dan yes we don't have to have 15 to go.

Anyone reading this if you fancy a fantastic driving trip with spectacular views, amazing cars AND some of the best company you will find !
I for one have met and made friends with more people on these trips than I ever have - Dan is not just organising brilliant driving trips, he is forging friendships that will last a lifetime. ( Dan you can give me the 10euro when I see you next - LOL )

Seriously these are fun fun fun - who needs Top Gear !!!

As I have said on these pages many times previously, there is only one thing stopping me joining you, and she tends to be in charge of the finances

Hence no quads :helpme:

All I can say Dan is, if I could give you more kudos - I would, for without YOU I doubt anyone else would do these trips !

That's from all who went to Austria !!!!

DKZ - Pete... I have not met you but I have conversed with you on these pages of the forum and know that you first hand have experienced what I have in the last few years - more so, and you know that the saying "you never know whats around the corner" is so true, and also "live for today". I hope one day that our paths do cross, for I feel we could share a story or two !
I am like most on here - rolling my passion for cars and driving, to the wife's passion of a holiday in a lovely location - Italy, if you can't make it I am sure there will be plenty of pictures and videos for all to watch. Regards - Mick.

Very nice program.
Unfortunately no vacation for me at this time.

However I go often in this region, quite every year. I will be there in August this year.

May I recommend you passo San Boldo. 70 km North from Padova.
Small pass, but very impressive with 6 u-turns in tunnels. Google-Earth : 46°00'14.31"N 12°10'11.93"E

At least there are some barriers to lean on.
In the deepest French Alps all you can see the deeeeeep drop when you miss the brakes at a hairpin turn

Very true indeed,

I came around a corner to be met by a huge campervan, I thought I was going over the edge !!

That trip was meant to be on a motorbike, so I would have been OK, but I went in convertible instead, nearly my last drive ever !!

Important message !!!

For the moment we are in the second week of our vacation and we are preparing the road trip.

At the first hotel we can park our RCZ's indoors for free.

At Santer Hotel in Dobbiaco you have the possibility to park your RCZ in a closed car park.
This cost 10,- Euro per night.

Who want to use the closed car park ?
We stay here from monday till friday, so 4 nights.
