Hi, Have just purchased 2010 1.6 Automatic. Lovely solid car. Very well made. I also have a newer Mercedes C220 AMG which is a
piece of junk, but that is another story...
It seems to be impossible to find a rear ABS sensor for the RCZ, harder to find than the Golden Fleece.
Part no. is 9674196180
The only Peugeot/Citroen part no. to come close is 3008 which is 9674195780.
I was wondering if I could use the 3008 part instead, or maybe there is another Peugeot/Citroen model Rear ABS sensor that is the same?
Next problem is how to fit it
I have taken wheel off to discover that the bolt fixing sensor to hub is blocked by the brake disc. There is a small clearance but
the allen key is too big to fit in....any ideas?
Is there a special tool or do you have to take the brake disc off??
Any help would be appreciated. I stay in Kilmarnock, if there are any RCZ specialists nearby.
Love the styling & dynamics of the car, and yes it could do with more power.
All the best
A

Buycarparts.co.uk used to sell the Bosch "hall sensor" listed for the RCZ order no 0 2765007790 I cannot recall if they do front & rear & I think you will need to remove the disc to get the sensor off

Hi, thanks for help. I will check it out. Seems to be front sensor. I had feeling disc would need to come off.
The manufacturers really want to rip people off. There should be a government investigation of them along
the lines of the financial investigations.
The manufacturers need to make a profit but they are over the top & criminal in the amount they charge...I think VW diesel gate was the tip of the
iceberg...the manufacturers are true criminal fraudsters.
I suspect faults are built into ECUs etc that happen at certain times, mileages
No one in their right mind would ever buy a self driving car.....they cant (or wont) even get the basics to work!!!!
Our government really needs to look at them closely.....& do something!!!!!!
Rant over....Thanks for your help.
I will keep looking for the rarest abs sensor in the world...maybe I will frame it and send it to British museum if I ever find it...….
All the best

Hi, still looking for RCZ rear ABS sensor...would a Peugeot 3008 rear sensor fit & do the job?
The part are numbers are almost the same......almost......
Liking the car the more I drive it, really does grip on corners....
It certainly feels better sorted than a Audi TT, which, well, feels like a Golf.
Also have discovered the car is real head turner, with strangers coming up to ask about it...
never had that before with a car.
Thanks, Pedro
All the best

Yes your right they are a nice motor regarding the ABS sensor there were a few Zs being dismantled on ebay if I recall but if your having trouble getting hold of parts that's your only option worth checking out as its surprising how many there are being scrapped
good luck 👍

Hi folks, have checked out various dismantlers for rear ABS sensor however no joy.
I decided to give the dealers another go & this time they said they can get
one in a week from the factory ....Good old Arnold Clark ...…..I will report back
when (hopefully) it arrives... cost £68.
Small price to pay to keep this radical, stylish machine on the road
Thanks for your help

Hi RCZers, ABS sensor has finally arrived! Arnold Shark delivered! & "only" charged £62.
It has come all the way from the "factory".....in Peugeot packing & a glowing Made in China label
I will be cleaning the sensor & cable very carefully as Peugeot is part owned by Chinese & most of their factories
are in Wuhan.....
Arnold Clark did clean outside packing & were very helpful
Now to fit sensor. Normally the disc has to come off but I have ordered I special tool that MAY fit in between the disc & hub
I will let you know how I get on.
Also have the added benefit of the connecting plug wiring broken at join with bodywork plug......
Sure, a bit of Sellotape & a prayer will fix that......
all the best

you don't need to remove the disc

a normal allen key will go through one of the wheel bolt holes to undo the bolt.

ABS Sensor UPDATE
Have now removed old sensor using oversize Torx tool hammered into ABS 10mm Allen bolt & carefully unscrewing.
What fun!!! :D
I cleaned & checked ABS ring & rewired plug to body connection but are not able to test yet as front wheel axle stub is off the car
& its stuck in a garage for a week waiting for new axle stub....but that's another bedtime story......
All the best & thanks for everyones' help & advice for ABS sensor....HELL...
😀😀

Hi Dedra. I know it's been some time since you took on the task, but how did you get on with the sensor replacement? Did it fix the fault?

My RCZ is showing an ABS sensor fault on the information screen. A local garage has diagnosed the faulty part as the rear passenger side ABS sensor. I've tried to order a part but they are just like you said, like trying to find the golden fleece! Nil stock in UK and no estimated delivery dates worldwide.
We tried the Euro Car Parts route but the part they supplied was a bolt in type, not the spring fit type fitted to mine.

We would be most grateful for any information that might help resolve this issue.

Post up your details on the Breakers search engines maybe there are a few who have what you need they usually respond within a couple of days (after the holidays) I know there are a good few second hand spares on ebay at present so the whole cars must be out there somewhere
Goof Luck

If the part was made in China it may be worth having a look on AliExpress for a match
