Hi Sandy,
I test drove a black "R" on Saturday, although it was a "nice" car, my overall impression was one of disappointment. The car drove well, the ride wasnt too firm. Gear change was smooth, accelaration good but the sound was boring IMO, not addictive at all  . Not what you would associate with the fastest road car Peugeot has ever produced. I was expecting a bit of grunt, but even at 7000rpm it sounded ordinary. I do like the fixed rear spoiler though. If they were available to buy and fit to my standard 156GT, I would also fit a Start/stop button where the spoiler switch is on the centre console :D :D

You drive the THP156 and you are not impressed of the THP270, that's roughly 120 Hp difference :?
I have test driven it and I must say I was really impressed. If your are only jugding a car by his noise level then
why not buy a peugeot 107 and put on a complete open exhaust, the noise will be impressive and it will safe you a lot of money ;)

Danro that was only my opinion but please.........................................a 107

Hey that little three pot sounds absolutely amazing with no can. kid you not. Mini 911 amd better than any 4 cylinder ive ever heard bar the boxers

I might have the part code you are looking for and price...I just got to confirm it is what you need first. It will not come painted, so keep that in mind in regards to your budget for this modification.

Any luck with availability and price?

Send me a PM ;)

Snowy87 of course you can have your opinion on the THP270, but that also means I can have my opinion about your opinion ;)

Erm...did I actually leave work and my classroom today?! ;) :p Must have, there's no swearing nor girls that are the same colour as Oompa Loompas.

Where is Donna hiding these days anyway? :eusa-think: :eusa-whistle:

Harsh is saying your not impressed after a test drive with a THP270 :D

Maybe after the plethora of the RCR-R Hype that was typed on this forum...Snowys expectations of the car where somewhat elevated, hence his slight dissapointment when he test drove the very car.

Anyways Snowy thanks for your covert test drive honesty... I drive a 275 bhp/400nm car "Mountune Focus ST" and it aint that fast a car Quick/fun but not mind bendingly fast...to me you need 350+Pony's to really feel a exhilarating drive...but even then you get used to the speed, at the end of the day its how are a car makes you feel not what power is under your right foot

Jassy Off course compared to super sport car the THP270 not really "impresive", but you're forgetting that the THP270 it's only a 1.6 L front wheel drive car...

So when you take that in consideration it's impresive, even all the professionele test drivers agree on that

Also very linear power delivery can feel slower than peaky/surgie power delivers.

I noticed the 208gti and the rcz both feel slower than the Alfa mito qv because the qv is more surgie in it's power delivery.

Heck my NA 130hp @ wheels 205 feels faster than the 200hp turbo rcz - it's not but it does feel it.

Ford easily pull 125 bhp out of a 1.0 litre,Abarth easilyPull 180bhp out of a 1.4, BMW pull 228 bhp out of a 1.5 engine,so how is 266 bhp so special out of a 1.6 litre engine  but maybe thats a huge leap forward for a small french automotive company...zzzzzz
