RCZ-R starting after over 2 months of standing!

So just had an unscheduled weekend at home in Fareham.

Just been out to my RCZ-R, which was parked up on the 21st December 2017.

Checked oil and coolant, all is good!
Got in switched on economy mode is active (not surprising after 2 months) turned key and engine turned slowly (split second thinking - I'm gonna have to charge the battery), then the engine fires and runs with no rattling!
Ran engine until 90 degree coolant temperature and heat coming into cabin.
Going out after tea to put fuel in.

Just got back, car ran great, but went to pay and realised I had the wrong shell card, so went back to car and grabbed my phone, as I was walking back to the shop, I noticed quite a bit of "salt" on the rim..........but no it wasn't salt, the wheel's been kerbed.
Definitely not happy![CONFOUNDED FACE]

Just shows the RCZ is a reliable car, being left that long in the weather we’ve had recently & still fires up with no problems :thumbup:

Gutted for you about the wheel Chris. Still got 3 or 4 of those to sort out myself. Seems like it’s @ £90 - £120 per corner, so one isn’t too bad, especially if you don’t have a nasty whine in your ear telling you they don’t really need sorting as they’re still round :crazy: :helpme:

The gutting thing is I didn't do it and apparently neither did anyone else.

Hmmm, at least one of mine has miraculously appeared totally by itself. I washed the car & it was ok, OH went out in it, next day I washed the car again & rim trashed, no idea how that could have happened :eusa-think:

Chris, did you not say that your sister or her husband borrowed the car for a while? prime suspects right there....

great news that the Z started first time but looks like you're gonna be forking out to have the wheel repaired... :eusa-whistle:

Yes my sister was using it.

But after reviewing the on board cameras particularly of reversing off her drive (not using the dropped kerb area) off the full height kerb, she is now not using it as she is not respecting it.
