Your not going to get that much out of it without extensive engine upgrades and tonnes of money.
You need to make your shopping list a bit longer ;)

That's 102 bhp increase u'll need more than a stage1 map/box/chip those will maybe get u somewhere between 25 to45 bhp at most. Stage 2 u'll need engine upgrades new exhaust and manifold and a large bank account.

According to experienced PSA tuning companies the stock internals in our Rs are good for up to 310bhp. Not 380. Torque-wise close to 400Nm.
But that requires a rebuild of the air intake system as a whole, the exhaust system (excl. downpipe which is good enough) and a proper remap which winds up the turbo beyond 2 bar boost.

Going for ECU remap only you are aiming for 290bhp at max. This is where the airflow starts to limit your goal.

yes yes, it was ment that way by writting...new blow off valve, intercooler...there will be a lot of work, for sure, although i have to say this car is a little beast as stock already, i really like it's exhaust sound, wonder what it will be after replacing it :)

Before rushing into this, be aware that people have attempted several things to increase performance of the R and failed because it already is highly tuned and its electronics can stop your mods from giving the expected gain.
Watch some of JP Performance attempts here (this is in German).

yeah, i watch JP's videos everytime, it's obvious that it's not only about ECU REMAP, you simply can't do all this stuff with only software changes, because every part counts when it comes to modifications...

Have you thought of putting a supercharger on it...? :eusa-think:

From Wikipedia - Twincharger refers to a compound forced induction system used on some piston-type internal combustion engines. It is a combination of an exhaust-driven turbocharger and an engine-driven supercharger, each mitigating the weaknesses of the other. A belt-driven or shaft-driven supercharger offers exceptional response and low-rpm performance as it has no lag time between the application of throttle and pressurization of the manifold (assuming that it is a positive-displacement supercharger such as a Roots type or twin-screw and not a Centrifugal compressor supercharger, which does not provide boost until the engine has reached higher RPM's). When combined with a large turbocharger — if the "turbo" was used by itself, it would offer unacceptable lag and poor response in the low-rpm range — the proper combination of the two can offer a zero-lag powerband with high torque at lower engine speeds and increased power at the higher end. Twincharging is therefore desirable for small-displacement motors (such as VW's 1.4TSI), especially those with a large operating rpm, since they can take advantage of an artificially broad torque band over a large speed range.

http://www.torquecars.com/tuning/twincharging.php - note the intersting point about re-locating the battery to free up space! Even so, not sure it will all fit under the bonnet, but am sure some of these people would be willing to try/advise you!:

Clearly the twin-scroll turbo goodness already fitted minimises lag, but it would be interesting to find out if a s-charger would benefit things towards the sort of power figures you are talking...

I don't know where in the world you will attempt to complete this project but in Germany they would charge you a 5 figure euro price for what you have on your mind.

Compared to that going for stage 2 only (different intercooler, intake and exhaust system, ECU remap) and achieving about 310bhp/400Nm seems to be a bargain.

Agreed! If you want much north of 300 BHP, you'd be better off starting with something with a bigger engine and RWD in the first place TBH, bearing in mind that it's PeugeotSport who have tuned it up in the first place and they know what they are doing! Obviously a big power increase will put extra strain on the drivetrain etc (I know it's uprated, but will it take a 30%+ increase and for how long?) and with FWD and that much power it's going to be interesting getting the grip down, even with the front LSD... [I know it's not the same type of car, but you can pick up an XKR with 370BHP as standard for £6k these days]

If reliability and daily drive-ability is not a requirement and/or must, then you can do anything with money as there are plenty of people out there that will take it from you to do what you want. But trying to achieve 380bhp on a budget is not wise. It has to be done correctly and that takes time and money or you will be sorry.
