My pug dealer offered only 13% off the price although I paid in full cash for my RCZ R

£1500 deposit around £560 mark a month....

About £100 a month more than I was quoted for my magnetic on the same deposit, which given the 5k difference in the initial price seems about right. But the GFV must only be 1500 more so maybe they are concerned about residuals although I suspect its about profits and you could probably negotiate £100 a month off that figure.

Am i correct in thinking that you have paid in full for your car that you will pick up in June?

Sorry, let me correct that: I offered cash for the car, POD which is in June (due to wait list) and got only 13% off. I was expecting a little bit more discount as the dealer will get the full price at the day I pick up the car.

Why do you have to wait until June :?: :?:

That's what they told me, the usual waiting line for the RCZ R over here (ze Germany). They've put me on priority line, so when I'm lucky, I'll get the drive in May. Unfortunately I have absolutely no connections into the Pug network depriving me of any chance to get my hands on the RCZ R any earlier.

Dealers dont take this into account as if you got it on finance, they get the whole amount anyway and you owe the money to the finance company. So they wouldnt be willing to discount too much because its losing them profit.

Actually it's quite cheap :D

They're selling a brand new THP200 here now with only options JBL and 2x tires for 35.500 uk pounds.

As if someone would actually buy that! I do love the RCZ but I sure wouldn't.

The R will probably be 50.000 € here (£41.000) Wouldn't surprise me one bit. :( So i guess i'm out...

Best move to the UK Tomas.......... the rcz was never a cheap car to begin with, so the zooped up version was always going to be even more expensive, its in comparison to Fiat/Abarth its in the same Marque League "NO KUDOS IN THE UK" it is :eusa-shhh: but tech it up and voila... here it is a RCR-R some Abarth's cost in the region of £23,000... :wtf: yeah they do  but would you pay that for a Fiat 500 :wtf: the same equation/dilemma goes for the RCZ-R ITS ONLY THE ENTUSIAST'S of the BRAND that WILL BUY IT  mostly

But if it had" 4 INTER- TWINNING" Circle's on it or even a" RS" Badge on it would have a waiting list "as long as King Kongs" Arms" for it

Snowy YOU ARE keen on this car, but you say i could get another RCZ with a new bumper on it "rather than a RCZ-Rand save a few bob, thats like me saying would i buy another ST... with some new bumper added "this you wouldnt umbup: BUT would i buy another Focus WITH THE RS badge on it most definetely

I get your point, but it is a bit different story over here. It makes a difference if you put the money on the table or if you are going for a finance plan. No matter if that finance is backed up directly by the dealer or by an external finance institute.
But as this is an UK forum, I doubt it is of any relevance for the audience here :)

Off tomorrow to see the RCZ R before taking my Grandad out for lunch. A friend of mine works there and gave me the heads up, sadly he isn't working tomorrow so I will have to attempt to play it cool! I've also just had a phone call from the dealer in Crewe to say they have one in stock and if I fancied coming down, I said I would if my Euro Millions came in this evening! ;-)
Absolutely stunned it doesn't have front parking sensors though, I use mine more than I should now cause I am used to them, don't know if I would fancy a tight parking space without them after 2 and a bit years with no practice ;-)

Interestingly enough I have heard contradicting info about the number being made, 300 per year or 300 as a one off, anyone know which is correct?

Why do you need front parking sensors? I've never had them and never felt the inclination. You can judge where the front of your car is - surely ? ;)
