It would be very interesting to see the reasons behind their change of decision.

Either the car can't be fixed in a reasonable time frame, so an alternative option must be sought (replacement car) or it can, in which case it should be permanently fixed,

They can't agree that they can't fix it & offer a replacement, then change their minds.

As someone posted, sale of goods act, you have them all the way to the bank, full refund & they can collect the car.

They must really think you are stupid if they think you are just going to give up & say oh alright I'll keep it even though I can't drive it.

Stick with it mate, you will get there, but you shouldn't have had to go through this to do so.

I agree DCZ,

They had the car for 3 weeks to fix the car last time, a week before that and a day the first time. Plus the numerous visits to other Peugeot dealers with the same problem.
They obviously don't want it back because they don't know what the problem is and don't want the hassle of having to deal with it. If they did know what the problem was then why haven't they fixed it?

My solicitor is now going for everything. Time missed off work, days I've had to take as holidays, lost earnings, expenses of hotels when it broke down in France the same day they had fixed it. Cost of over 100 phone calls, not to mention the distress. The car was braking down at a time when I was travelling back and forth to visit my very sick mother who then passed away. I was almost having to go to the funeral in my Peugeot boxer van until Peugeot UK offered me a car.

bang to rights under the SOGA especially after so many 'reasonable ' attempts by you to give them the opportunity to sort it. Clearly not of 'merchantable quality' which is the test. Any court presented with what you have detailed is going to find for you so stick with it. Ridiculous that you should have to.
On a personal note all this bad stuff is making me nervous... just got mine yesterday gulp.
Hope it works out - it should. And Peugeot should hang their heads on this one.
As an after thought why not copy the group CEO. In my experience falg cases as they are called get taken V seriously and it seems to me that you have enough to get the bloke's attention if you can be bothered.
Good luck.

Cheers,

I posted a review of Stoneacre on trust pilot with the final comment being I would be happy to sit down with a meme r of their senior management to discuss it further. Surprise surprise they have requested that trust pilot remove my comments. If you look you will find that all negative comments have been requested for removal from trust pilot by Stoneacre. They obviously don't like any negative comments.
I'm now waiting to hear from trust pilot who will probably want to see my proof before allowing my review to be published. Stoneacre know most people won't bother but I certainly will. :)
