Hi

I’ve recently bought a 2015 RCZ I’ve had it 3 weeks. The timing chain went on it and the dealer got it fixed. I’ve had it back 3 days and it’s gone again! Same problem. I love it, but dealer is taking it back to the garage to get it sorted out! I don’t know whether to throw in the towel or give the dealer a chance to put it right.
is this sort of thing normal?
Sorry I’m new to all this

What do you mean the chain went?

Snapped the chain?

The chain didn’t snap. They said that the tension had gone and they fit a full chain kit in.

the problem had happened again last night. Engine fault error, car stopped and the fan sounded loud, like a aeroplane . I’d only driven 100 yards!

do I need to get a Peugeot dealer to use their diagnostics equipment, rather than a cheaper local garage?

thank you for replying.

as you can tell I know nothing about car engines, but I’m trying to learn. X

The person who sold you the car is responsible to put it right if you bought it on finance you have the legal rights to return it & state its not fit for purpose

This on them to fix or return your money in full. You shouldn’t be having to mess around at all. Reject it if they don’t sort it or start dragging their heels over anything
