Well eventually go car back , head ok , peugeot payed for parts ie tensioner , bolts , gaskets I had to pay labour , also they did small replacement parts / refurb to turbo cooler and stat , car is running better and exhaust sounds more beefy , total cost to me £573 still not free but could have been worse , had no problems at the arnold clark garage Kemnay , I did point out about comments on here , excuse was that must have been the previous dealers !!!

I haven't used them since the dealership changed hands to AC. However, it isn't going to be a Pug dealership for much longer...

26/12/13 went to start my RCZ, started ok, defrosted windows, so after about 5 mins of engine warming up, put into drive (automatic) the car started to judder and the engine light came on and a msg stating Engine Fault needs repair. Husband drove to garage today, only about 1.1/2 miles away. At first they couldn't find a problem, but after about three hours said it was the timing belt(chain) and sliders!
Had my car from brand new, just been mot'd in October, has been serviced every year at the main dealer I bought the car from, hasn't even got 20k on the clock yet.
If Peugeot don't help, it will the last one I get

Sadly this is a fairly common fault with the RCZ. However, it is quickly and easily resolved so try not to be too disheartened. I presume that your car is now out of warranty if it was MOT'd in October? Did you take out an extended warranty?

Known problem on early models. Have to agree with bigmac, 1 fault in 4 years is hardly something to get upset about.

No consolation I know but like bigmac, I think you've been v lucky. You should try owning an Alfa Romeo.... spent more time in a garage than it did on the road and cost a large fortune B-)

Well, I've got to say I am a happy bunny! Stoneacre Woodkirk in Dewsbury, have been superb. When the Sales Manager got on the case, he said he would do he could to help. Not sure of the outcome of the conversation with the dealership & Peugeot, but, I am picking up a new RCZ tomorrow, trading my old one in and the payments are a lot less due to some great deals around on finance.
The engines are supposed to have been modified so hopefully won't occur in the new car.
I adore my old car as was bought for a special birthday & will be sad to let it go, but I travel on the M62 and M1 daily and do not feel confident anymore, any little noise, creak etc I think it's going to pack up on me in the outside lane!
Thank to the forum, I know I'm not the only one who has had problems and I just hope you all get your cars back in good working order without too cost.
