Hi,

Thought I'd introduce myself as I recently purchased a 2011 RCZ GT HDI in Onyx Black as my daily motor. Wanted one of these for along time, but couldn't justify due to kids. One now has a car, so I took the plunge anyway. I went for the MK1 version as I prefer the more aggressive front end over the MK2 version. My mind was made up after a go in the R version, but couldn't justify one of these.

I'm a big Peugeot nut, with a prefernce to the older 80's/90's GTI models (my youth), of which I have a couple of mint examples tucked away during the winter months (205 GTI 1.9 and 205 CTI 1.9, but upgraded with 1.9 brakes, mechanicals and lowered suspension).

I'm a committee member of PSCUK (Peugeot Sport Club UK) and thought it would great to join this forum dedicated to the RCZ.

The more I drive this car the better it gets

Cheers

Ade

Hi Ade Sharpe ,,and WELCOME :greetings-wavingblue:

Being a "Peugeot Nut" as you say, your Z' is in keeping with your passion and so I'm sure you will already be acquainted with your Z' and enjoying its ownership. As for your 205 GTi a true 'drivers car' from the days before masked driving sensation became the norm and when every aspect of the placement of the car could be precisely felt via the steering wheel and driving seat ,,how I miss those days !! :eusa-whistle:

Would I be right in that your now membership of this Forum will now automatically give us FREE membership of PSCUK if we mention your name ?? !

Really enjoying the RCZ. It really draws a lot of attention with so many people asking me what it is and cannot believe it's a Peugeot LOL! Diesel engine is fantastic, so much torque and so quiet. It's a brilliant design when compared my mates Mercedes E class - so dated and boring inside and out :wtf:

The GTI on the other hand is a completely different car as you say! Manufacturers wouldn't be allowed to build cars like this today, but a proper drivers car with no electronic or driver aids..... not even power steering on ABS brakes
