1) Water leaking into the boot when opened - Open it slowly
2) Air vents whistling when put to a certain setting - don't use that combination of vents
3) Brake calipers corroding on the surface and looking nasty - Paint them with hammerite
4) Timing chain stretching and a petrol sounding like a diesel - Take it back whilst under warranty

the standard wheels corroding badly (all 4), replacement of steering rack, engine mounts getting loose and replacement of front upper suspension plastic rubber these are the faults I have experienced on my 6000 m 1/2 yr old hdi diesel model. I also have the air vents whistling as experienced by others and forgot I had the hydraulic pipe for my clutch re rooted (replaced) as well for the clutch pedal to stop from vibrating

Is that it then lol ?

Not quite...there have also been a number of members with a variety of faulty sensors. To he honest, it's really not that extensive a list. It's more a case of the same faults that occur again and again rather than a wide array of different faults. Although there are, as there are with any model, the occasional bad egg that suffers a litany of problems.

This the one that you had a link to on the Megane forum? I love the Asphalt and have had a shotty of one a couple of times while my own car was in the dealership and it's a stunning example of the RCZ...fully kitted out with all the toys and very exclusive! It's not a bad price for an Asphalt but the mileage is pretty high IMO. I'd try to batter them down a little yet and demand they update all the maps for the sat nav.

Yeah it was on the forum, to be honest i would like nearly new miles. It was the price i liked, il see though there is a coupe at 20k if i could haggle them down a bit would be better with only7ooomiles.

Personally I'd be put off by the mileage but that is a personal preference. What is the year of registration/age of the one with 7000 miles? I would be going for that one and trying to batter them down a little on the price. You should find you have a little more haggling power with the launch of the new face lifted model although it's not a bad price at 20k. Will you be trading in a car against it?

Yeah I'd say that's a better example and buy to be honest. Remember though, some dealers are funny about offering discount for cash purchases as they make less money on cash sales than from people using a degree of finance from them. That said, there are always deals to be done. Good luck and keep us posted murdoch!
