RCZ Facelift

For me I like the old style more as I don't like the style of the new front bumper looks like an aftermarket job.

If they kept it like the 308 facelift photoshopped below would've looked amazing.

Well I for one have always liked the look of the facelifted model. I was never a big fan of the gaping mouth. For me, it was the one thing that let the RCZ down. Now I believe it's grown up and looks mature. It's of course all subjective as we all like different things.

I can't vote on this in truth. As I like them both. My only comment is that the original front isn't unique to the RCZ as the rest of the car is. Just a beautiful unique motor with a corporate nose, just a bit of a shame, buts that's not to say that I dislike it, because I don't.

Personally I always felt that the classic was a bit of a 'BOBFOC' and the facelift version fixed the one thing I didn'tike about the old car, hence why I now have one on order.

Now that I have a facelifted one I like it.

As I've said all along this car being what it is, had to stand out from the rest of the peugeot range and by given it a facelift which is unique to this car I think is much better.

If I wanted a 308 nose then I would buy a 308, but thats my opinon

Right l voted for the new Facelift :thumbup: in standard stand alone gt/sport designation that was what was being voted on.



BUT on the other hand the original front with a Feline mesh grill/xenons even halogen lights i would go for this over the new front as it far more sportier and the original car is far more aggresive looking side on.

I dont like the new rcz side on its lost that aggresion that the original has that i like so much

My honest opinion would be PUG should have done more on the interior of the car ITS WEAKEST POINT, a simple rebolster of the seats giving more support,maybe also adding ambient lighting,jazzed up dials :eusa-think: :eusa-think: These are cheap to manufacture,some car makers do this and dont even advertise it

Saw my first up close facelifted rcz today on the grid locked M8 in Glasgow, anyhows its was in pearl/black arches/storm grey technical alloys/xenons it was new to the owner but on a 62 plate i could tell by the way it was being driven


I am going to be kind/negative then realistic
positive points.

1. IT WAS STUNNING....baring in mind this car had £2,200 external options on it.SAME CAR AS THE ONE IN THE ADVERT
2. This is the best looking sub £40,000 car on the road easy :beer:
3.The black arches on the RCZ are a must have at all costs option to get, dont get it without them :thumbup:
4.Pearl paint is stunning when clean and the photos dont do it justice

Negative points externally.
1.ONLY ONE......the led drls are dwarfed by the rcz's huge frontal area and belong to a pug 108 :thumbdown:

REALISTIC........10 seconds after seeing this stunning beauty i thought "l made the wrong choice in my new car"

60 seconds later i remembered and looked around the rcz and realised i had'nt

Why.....

The new facelifted model has 99.5% the same interior as the old rcz and will drive the same as the old rcz I could elaborate but i wont.

Another member on here summed it up on buying a rcz twice in succession quite well.." IT'S A ITCH I HAVE SCRATCHED"

I know this wont go down very well to a whole lot of members and all new members/syndrome members

Hopefully pug will rectify the dash/interior and get rid of that 1.6 thp engine :thumbdown: when the new rcz appears in 2/3 years time.
Then it will be a better rounded car :thumbup: :thumbup: actually pug could keep the bodyshell as it is, just change the above mentioned.

Peugeot will put in smaller engines but i dont see any manufacturers going bigger engines. I like the THP200, love the way it sounds, love the way it delivers its power and I love the fact that its pretty economical. I had a THP155 motor and I didnt like how flat it was at the top. Dont see why Peugeot will dump a multiple world engine of the year motor for something else...

Peugeot will put in smaller engines but i dont see any manufacturers going bigger engines. I like the THP200, love the way it sounds, love the way it delivers its power and I love the fact that its pretty economical. I had a THP155 motor and I didnt like how flat it was at the top. Dont see why Peugeot will dump a multiple world engine of the year motor for something else...

Max i only had the tractor sounding "at idle" 154 bhp thp, no petrol engine should sound like that so this engine variant needs a makeover.

I agree its very very economical l have got 45mpg at the moment .

I have no experience of the FAP Derv engine heard its a good one now :thumbup:

Its a problem with the direct injection motors, Golf 5 GTI owners have same issue. Cant remember what caused it... Ever thought the damage came from running cheap supermarket petrol in it all the time?
