RCZ Depreciation Issues

The part ex prices I've been offered are a bit of a poke in the eye, so I have considered selling privately, but to be honest the RCZ in this area (Swansea) are as popular now on the roads as almost any other car.

Theres not as day goes by that I dont see at least 2 whilst I'm out and about, so I think the exclusivity of owning a Z is long gone, well in this area anyway, so hoping for a good private sale may be more difficult than it would of been a year or so ago :eusa-think:

One big problem after owning a Z is, what do you go for ? Its very difficult to find a car in the Z's budget range with as much style as the Z, in fact it's almost impossible.

I agree with Rizzo about the GTC VXR, is a stunning car packed with power, but in reality I dont think I could afford to run a car with that much power on a daily basis.

One things for sure, the Z certainly knows how to hold onto it's owner.

Agreed, I see at least one but more often two or three per day just in Leeds alone. However i have not bothered to count how many TT's I see or any other make/model in the same day. Maybe we just register it when we see a RCZ because we too own one.

Yeah maybe Ron.
We tend to notice them as an owner :eusa-think:

I've just been offered 10k by a VW dealer against a Golf GTI for my immaculate 61 plate petrol RCZ sport with 17,400 on the clock. Very disappointing, as it's less than it would cost me to buy the car from Peugeot when my PCP deal runs out in a couple of months time. :(

I never think that other marques dealerships are too interested. They want to flog their own marque and would simply pass yours on or take it to the auction. So no real incentive for them to offer "top dollar" I'd be more worried if you was offered the same or similar hocking it in for a RCZ R or any Pug really

The starting \ asking price for my 13 sport 200 THP from my local pug dealer when it was 14 months old with 9K miles on it was £16k (with a few extras such as leather seats and a brake upgrade) obviously I got some money off and service price reductions etc. Its an ex Pug managers car so while they might have regarded it in some ways as a business expense they wont have taken a bath totally on the price but probably not a bad indication of values
Lets face it you want residual values go and buy a golf and to an extent become invisible on the road me I would rather have the feeling that every drive is an event and turn a few heads.
While I may be lucky in that I get mine paid for through work via a car allowance of £5k pa so in effect when I trade it in any value the car has is a bonus I just think gambling the trade in a decision you make when buy a car like the Z
My Corvette is slowly appreciating being a 77 however for those of you the measure fill ups and miles per gallon I think its best stayed away from!
