RCZ battery charging while still in vehicle

Hey all,

Found a thread but wasn't too confident on answers and thought this be good for future people. Ever evolving noobie here.

I have a dead battery, I want to recharge it while the battery is still in the car (not a trickler charger).

1. Do I have to disconnect any clamp terminals already connected to the positive and negative terminals on battery???

If not:

Charger device off:
I connect charger POSITIVE (red) charging clamp to POSITIVE (red) battery terminal first which is easily accessible under plastic.

I then connect charger NEGATIVE (black) cable to the earth point in bonnet (screw thing near front of bumper) as seen in my picture below. (Thanks to other forum for this).

Then I can switch battery charger on with bonnet open for ventilation and keep an eye on charging as too not over charge.

I then turn off charger, disconnect negative charger cable first then disconnect positive charger cable.

This all happens while battery clamp terminals are connected?

Thanks for your guys help. Sorry if obvious, taken battery out 5 times now to charge, got new battery then let run flat don't want to take out again.

It’s possible to charge this way , to my knowledge. The car itself charges the battery at >14V or so, so it’s no problem to do that yourself.
