RCZ Automatic Lack of power when pulling away

Hi, Ive got a problem with my RCZ 156 Petrol Automatic its only done about 20k miles
Its a intermittent fault at the moment working fine more times than having this issue

But basicaly I have a lack of power when trying to pull away, big delay and high revving for little acceleration

Taking what feels an age to get upto speed, unlike when its working fine

Has anyone else had this issue or have an idea what it could be,

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Have you checked you automatic gearbox fluid level?
As the gearbox works on the fluid reaching certain pressures to be able to open valves. Might be worth a check

I haven't, but how would you check this, the handbook doesn't show a way

There is either a dipstick, like for the engine, but a lot shorter or there is a fill level plug.

But you have to make sure that if you check either of these that no dirt gets into the gearbox, as this would cause more problems/damage.

If you still have warranty I would get them to check it out.

Couple more questions :-
1) Has this just started to happen since the cold weather?
2) Does this happen when the engine is cold (might just need the gearbox oil to warm up)?
3) Does this happen when everything is up to temperature?

I cant find either unfortunatly :/ I even checked the handbook again and it doesn't show anything

Regarding other questions It happens at all temperatures and even after its warmed up

Something else that I noticed, the accelerator pedal itself seems to have resistance against me pushing it
duno if that helps you at all?

Might seem like a daft question, but you hsven't got your speed limiter set have you? This would give the symptoms you describe and especially regarding the throttle resistance.

Does the speed limiter still let you go above the speed it would be set at?

Since I can still get upto 50mph but It would take a while (cant test or check it at the moment as its 11:30 at night)

Will defiantly check this in the morning,

The speed limiter on my mk1 simply stops the car from breaching the set speed unless you stomp on the accelerator (i.e. an emergency override.) I hardly ever use it but I don't remember any physical resistance, just a complete lack of reaction to throttle input all the way to the floor except for a hard stomp.
