Hi there,

I'm new here but need help. I have a 2011 RCZ with both airbags deployed. Dashboard still very good and solid. I just need replacing of airbags and maybe the seatbelt and tensioners. Will a Peugeot 308 airbags work on the RCZ as the quote i'm getting for the RCZ is about £1000. Please I will appreciate any advise.
Also if anyone knows where to find a white front bumper and white bonnet or know anyone selling at a decent price I wont mind replacing mine.
Many thanks for the help

I haven't looked recently, but have you checked out the dreaded EBay? There are often Z parts for sale on there from people breaking right offs.

Yea i have checked the 2 on ebay and they are quoting over £1500 for dash and airbags alone. Those ones with the complete set on ebay are quoting quite extortionate prices. I just wanted to find out if the 308 ones might work if its just removing the airbags and fitting into my RCZ steering and considering on the other side to do the same and stitch back the dash.

Isn't a car considered a write-off if airbags have been deployed?

I think there might be a bit more involved in making it good again than just popping in a couple of new ones and stitching up the dash...

Not necessarily, body shops replace airbags all the time but it comes down to cost of repair against cost of the car as to whether the insurer will write it off.
A good way to check for chassis damage is to go straight to the roof, if there is any little dents in it then there will be chassis damage if they were not there to begin with, the roof is a soft spot and any damage to the chassis will usually show up there.

in my experience airbags are about a £1000 to replace so you're just gonna have to suck it up and and pay that for them. i can't see you getting them any cheaper.

If you're looking for parts, get ready for the shock: To replace my front bumper, 1 parking sensor, Peugeot badge and passenger's side headlight, over 4 grand. Sure labour was included, but I don't believe you'll get really cheap. The front bumper is a huge piece, plus few things inside. Was a crash at 30-40mph. Just the "nose" under the Peugeot badge was really damaged, but somehow the impact put some pressure on the headlight and as the fixing bits were damaged, replacement. I'm sure Admiral was quite happy with the bill.

Yes 308 airbags will fit for driver & passenger side airbags only, but needs to be the latest 308 model
