Rcz 200 1.6thp DYNO RUN

Hi everyone

took my rcz down to dynodaze in Nuneaton today for a dyno run and thought I’d share the outcome.

The car is completely standard, I have ordered a tdi-tuning box so I will get another dyno in after it is fitted so you all get a before and after printout l

the car made 189.7bhp and 162bhp at the wheels with 204 ft-lb of torque, considering the car is standard and has covered 82k I’m fairly happy with where it is at. It was also running v power mainly with a topup of bp ultimate 97ron, the lads there recommended using Tesco 99 so I’ll give that a try once the tuning box is in

ill include a pic of the claimed figures of the tdi tuning website for reference so I’ll see how accurate it is, fingers crossed

Hi, yes for the mileage I think that’s ok but there have been reports of standard 200’s exceeding 200bhp.
Look forward to seeing what the tuning box results are.
I’ve had my 156 remapped have seen a massive improvement but not actually had it on a dyno so can’t claim figures but I’m happy with the improvement in performance and fuel economy.

the record of a 200 thp in a road test was in a Spanish magazine with 233bhp at 18c which is optimum temperature

the numbers are different from dyno to dyno
233 sounds overwhelming

but the diagram is very good
very nice results!!!

ps. don't go for a tunebox, go for a remap

ah unsure then, I'm fairly new to the RCZ world so to me going of the standard 197bhp to me it looked quite decent but like I say I'm in no way an expert on what these cars regularly get.

nevertheless I did go for the tdi-tuning box in the end and have a dyno run in the morning so will post the results. fingers crossed
as my partner drives the car as well the ability to turn the box on and off was just too appealing over a standard remap
