Rattling /creaking interior

Hey all!

A few weeks ago my 2011 Rcz started making rattling / creaking noices.

The sounds seem to come from:

Steering rack / the plastic around it.
Mostly noticeable when backing up and turning hard.

Drivers side seat.
Creaks when I go over speed-bumps.
The back of the drivers seat also seems to be a bit loose.

The car is at the dealer right now, to figure it out.
He was not happy But stuff like that drives me crazy!

Anyone had any similar problems?

I have a rattle but its my fault lol. My rear inside quarter panel rattles because when I removed it a couple of the clips broke and I didnt replace them.

Ive never noticed a rattle near the steering wheel though and I removed the cowling to change the steering wheel. Maybe I put it back properly lol.

My seat rattled and felt loose. I had a look underneath and one of the bolts holding the seat to the frame had come loose. Now thats been tightened its a lot better, but still a little wobbly.

I've had a creaking from the centre console lid, the dealer after a bit of persuasion put a little strip of felt on the inside of the catch. It only squeaked when it was very hot in the cabin.

The only other rattle I've had is the surround for the sat nav screen, again this was replaced by the dealer.

Thanks for the replys guys, glad its not just me.

The dealer just called, turns out the bushings on the front dampers needed changing?
He said it was a very common fault that they got squaky.

Just hope that my h&r springs dont void that warranty.

The seats where also loose like you said Abynthe.

My suspension creaks and moans abit.

wouldn't be so bad but im only 14 stone

Jimbo40: if your still under warranty get the bushings on the shocks replaced.
Solved all my creaking problems
