Racechip on HDi

Does anyone have a racechip fitted? I had a cheaper one fitted but it actually decreased power, so Im a bit hesitant to buy another one.

Looking on the Racechip website. It says for the cheapest one, it increases the bhp to 204 and the torque over 400. That should be a very noticeable difference as its the same increase as a small car lol. Does it feel that noticeable?

Where are you getting your hp figures from ?

I googled what BHP is 207PS and it came back 204.

No it says by UP TO % which could mean anything, I run a Navara D40 and on the forum they all go for these with the peddle box mod

I think for £479 I would be expecting a proper remap with a reputable re-mapper and multiple rolling road runs !

Yeah, I think that if it's at all possible to have the car mapped by a respectable outfit then that should always be your first port of call. I know that you'll now this already. There are some quite cool EDS boxes for some marques where you can buy the mapping tools and software plus several different maps from highly respected tuners. Is there anything like this available for the RCZ yet? I can't help but feel that these boxes are overpriced.

Tunit are one of the most respectable diesel tuners out there,l had one of their boxes fitted a few years ago,it can be customised as well, too suit the drivers driving characteristics :thumbup: Expensive though but one of the best :thumbup:

Ive used these for years on all sorts of diesel cars. Not one problem.

Don't pay the £400 price range in the UK, its just a rip off. I have had mine on the rolling road and every other car previously too. It ran 172 standard and now 204hp. Massive difference, fuel economy for me went from 42 mpg to 47 mpg also.

I also have one on a 150 bhp Vauxhall Zafira, thats running at 207 bhp now with the dpf and cat removed and egr blanked off.

The German ones are all TUV approved which is a better standard than the BS standard.

Are you using just regular diesel aswell?
Im using nitro+ with millers diesel power ecomax and Ive had a 10bhp increase over the last year. So Im hoping that helps get the 204bhp quoted.

I use normal diesel. No additives. I put redex treatment in a couple of times a year. Its been tuned since day one.21 months. No problems.
