R seats, stitching undone.

Drivers seat stitching has started to come undone, seat back, side support, where it meets the seat. Coming undone from from stitch start, has to be manufacturing problem.
Car is 4 months old, am not a big fat bloke, at least thats what I think, and am very careful how I get in / out.
Dealer has said it's a specialist job, they said they will find one and get them to repair.
Question: anyone else with a similar problem.
How did they repair.
Is the same potential problem on both seats / both sides?.

Thanks for support. I'll kep you updated.

I'm sure I've seen someone else with this issue on here before. I had a quick look, but couldn't find it. :eusa-think:

If the dealer can get it professionally restitched then fair enough but otherwise insist on a new seat cover. I know another R owner who has had this done recently so it should not be an issue , just annoying for you.

Regarding DKZ5745's comment about someone else mentioning it.

I remember somebody? had only had a new R for a couple of months and the same was happening.

It was mentioned that this is where the side airbags are and that they could be faulty?
I don't know the outcome but might be worth checking with the dealer.
