Thanks Jassy for being the voice of calm reasoning!!! Fantastic words of advice and I must confess that my anger, borne of frustration, vanished as quickly as it came to being. I will definitely follow your kind advice and plan my strategy for getting the situation rectified. Thankfully, the Peugeot Group member is also on the case. Thank you again mate for your reply and sense of humour. You're a gentleman and a legend...a legendary gentleman if you will!! :)

I remember 2 years ago julaugust time went to turkey for 2 weeks left the car at my mothers as it had to go into the dealership for a parts recall came back from holiday to find they had kerbed a very, very expensive 19"alloy on my honda woooooooooooooooooooooooooo  just as you are feeling just now but i am not as level headed as you Rizz i am just a jassy doe  these alloys where £2,500 over and above the standard 18"s so to some it up because of my attitude it didnt get me anywhere till i had calmed down and got a new wheel from them and i never darkened their doorstep again for any reason

Quick update, particularly for you Jassy, my dealer has "fitted" my mesh grille incorrectly and the chrome bars should indeed have been removed. That combined with the butchery if my rear valance, the incomplete and incorrectly fitted mesh grille, the wasted time and fuel, the inconvenience and the repeated lack of access to my car has left me bitterly disappointed and disaffected with the dealership. :(
I am actually furious!!!! :x
You can I join your "bitterly disappointed and disaffected with the dealership" club?

Please do RON...sadly it's not a private members club with many benefits. However, expect to receive frustration, unsatisfactory service, little or no communication and an undesirable amount of time wasted. Still keen...?

I count myself very lucky (so far) that I've had good service. But perhaps *touch wood* I've got one of the good RCZs. Think there's a lot to be thankful for with the HDi :)

Donna. I draw a huge distinction between the dealer and the marque or indeed the dealer and the model. My beef is that the dealers let the former down

You make an interesting point regarding the petrol vs diesel...I wonder if diesel owners have experienced better reliability and less problems..? Hmmm...
Glad that you, at least, have had a positive experience and long may it continue!! I guess that means that there is hope for me too! I am bloody fed up of the whole debacle and apologise for sounding like a complete grump (I'm genuinely not a complainer) but the whole thing had gone on since taking the keys at the start of feb!!!

My Hdi has been problem free  Love the car, possibly too much  Hate the dealership with a passion  I too am not for complaining, I tend to express my views in a more constructive way, in the hope of an improvement. Alas, it is usually a vain hope

I too prefer to think of the process being "constructive criticism"...it would just be nice for them to reflect on their practice and improve!!

I totally agree with you. Unfortunately they simply do not give a damn  More often than not they have the monopoly and do not need to provide a good service, as we have to use them for warranty reasons and because they have the technical machines and data required to carry out the maintenance that our complicated cars now require

I've had NO major issues in the four diesel Pugs I've owned. One 1.9 Dturbo, a 2L HDi DTurbo, 1.6 HDi 110 and now the RCZ. When I had the 207, a lot of GTi owners were having problems which Pug obviously never rectified when developing the RCZ. I wouldn't hestitate owning another riesel Pug.

So...latest update...I had to phone my dealer after hearing nothing from them. Initially they had the car booked in for the wrong date and had no record of the things that need corrected and finished for the feline kit (mesh grille fitted incorrectly on the lower section and not at all on the top section, rear valance butchered) nor a courtesy car arranged. I provided them with another list of things that need to be done and am now going to have to drop the car off on Sat at 8am. I then shortly received a phone call from a very helpful chap who actually appears sympathetic to my woes and is obviously also a car enthusiast. He has promised to be present to ensure that the grille is fitted properly this time and to see if they can tidy up the rear valance. He has provided me with his contact details and has asked me to provide them to any Aberdeen based customer who is experiencing difficulties. He was at a loss to explain why they had the wrong date for the car being in as he initialled and had booked it in for this weekend. So...after 3 further weeks since this was initially begun...I wait with baited breath to see what happens next.

Again, thumbs up to Peugeot centrally for picking up my problems once again from the forum and for their communications. However, it is a shame that the dealership cannot provide a similar service.

Been here rizz  you are now in tow with company service/care manager who has jumped in and they are always sympathetic until it comes down to£££ :eusa-think: the rear valance in my opinion cant be sorted once butchered it cant get better as you cannot stick bits back on it needs renewed mate and i would push for this as they have just taken a jigsaw to it and badly executed it in the proccess.LISTEN THEN REACT ;)

Again...excellent advice!! I have now received a message from a really helpful chap in the customer care team and from the Peugeot member. There is a Peugeot engineer going out to the dealership on Tuesday of next week to have a look at Figo's car and they have proposed that I go along to meet with him. I can't get away from work before the end of the school day and the car is booked in for Saturday so am just trying to get a hold of the gentleman at the customer care centre to try and see what he suggests. One day I'll no longer have to make regular 1 hour round trips to the dealership and I'll be able to enjoy this car...and my weekend!

This is my first "proper grown up" car and I saved long and hard to be able to afford it and it's been a very one sided love affair this far! :( I trust you managed to eventually get things resolved with the punto?! I'm beginning to lose faith. Still...it's almost the weekend and the rain is predicted to stop...hooray...so once I drop off the RCZ I plan on having a top weekend. Hope you will too. If the rain doesn't stop I'll begin work on my arc! ;)

I'm confused Rizz, who are all these people? Customer care team... Peugeot HQ? Peugeot member.... Main dealer?, Peugeot engineer?? It is so good that things are beginning to move in the right direction for you. I don't believe any car owner would receive any more care and attention than we do when the dealers fail to deliver. I am so impressed with Peugeot who I think of as a totally separate entity to the main dealerships. One day Peugeots philosophy may rub off onto the dealers and the car owning fraternity will be happy chappies

   I have to confess to being a little confused myself but the person who finally resolves my litany of problems and allows me to enjoy my car is likely to be the son of god. The customer care team are Coventry based and have been excellent as has the forum member 'Peugeot Group'. It is just a shame that the dealership have been utterly useless but I have high hopes of the chap I am now dealing with. I voiced my issues with the dealership to the Coventry based team and they seem equally disappointed. Got a very unsatisfying response to my latest correspondence from the dealer but will tackle this head on when I am out this weekend. Just fed up of it all and want to enjoy m y car and get back to my cheery self...it's that or my marriage won't last it's first year!!!

Right...jut had a call to say that the car is now ready so I await to see the finished result and their "solution" to my rear valance being butchered. At least they sorted me out with a decent run around today!!
