Mixing metaphors:
softly softly catchee duckie. :eusa-shhh:
Agent and three tyre kickers arrive.
They apparently race an old Beemer in an endurance racing series at tracks all round Spain.
Not impressed!
They were, though, when I gave them each a quick white knuckle run and let them have a go.
Seems I misjudged them, as a wodge of dosh passed from big bloke to missus as a deposit, albeit I had to drop the price a bit.
Her nimble digits flicked through the bills and paperwork sorted.
Punters departed.
Crossed palm of agent with silver so he will perform all formalities with regard to change of ownership.
Now awaiting balance in whatever form; possibly readies or transfer, not bothered as long as total correct.
Getting closer to being an RCZ tyre kicker!

Yay well done Stewart hope it all goes through. Now the fun begins, you've gotta find a decent RCZ, what type you thinking off 156 / 200 / 163 or 270 ?

Well chuffed for you

Sadly, you could most likely fill a room with the tomes I have produced, professionally.
The latter part of my working days were producing test specifications and other technical documents for some of the largest computer systems in the UK. :(
Now, they WERE an exciting read, NOT!!! :sleeping-yellow: :sleeping-yellow: :sleeping-yellow:
Paid well, so no gripes.

Gotta be the diesel - bomb proof motor and economical and I quite like the torque profile of chuggers (old use of word). ;)
I'll give the task of finding one to our local garage, a Pug dealership and workshop "par excellence" (bit of Frog thrown in for variety) and it will be a win-win situation even if I pay a bit more.
He won't get me a dodgy motor; and after sales, just down the road and never a problem.
Bought ex-demo 207, few year old 407, nearly new 5008, and new 108 from him; all spiffing!

UPDATE:
Saturday morning Jesus popped in to reassure us that all was well and we should not worry.
He made that point several times.
Oh, good!
Jesus is the son of friends of ours here, and is a manager in the Merc main dealership an hour drive toward Madrid.
It is he who has acted as agent flogging the Zero to a bloke and his odd mates.
Jesus has blown in matey's ear to find out what is happening.
He is trying to get the balance together and hopes to settle up by the end of June.
Terrific!
Now, I don't know about you but I don't ever recall going car hunting without having the finance side sorted or knowing it would be,
This bloke did not seem entirely stupid, has a business, and is not a youngster.
He peeled off two grand as a deposit without hesitation once the deal was struck, so cannot be totally boracic.
Looks like July is RCZ time now, unless I have collected two grand just for passing Go and have to put the Zero back on the market.

STOP PRESS!
Agent has just been.
He says he told buyer, who is apparently an estate agent, to "p1$$ or get off the p0t".
No idea what that is in Spanish, but maybe, just maybe, it has done the trick, and I might, o jala (with a bit of luck), have a huge wad, balance payment, by the end of this coming week.
