I take neither any credit nor any responsibility for the draft excluder. Jen thought it was "cute".

Gone "buttman" on my RCZ...  No not yet. However, it was her first birthday today so I wanted to treat her. That and the fact that I'm awaiting a phone call in 2-4 weeks to be taken in for pleurodesis on my lung and will only be able to look at her for a couple of weeks after I get out and I don't want her looking or feeling unloved during that time. Incidentally, I'm giving the consultant a big fat fail for uttering the following statement in an utterly nonchalant way, "Oh...and. Should also warn you that there is only a small chance of death during the operation". I swear I felt my bum clench!! What a bl**dy moron!! (Oh and the yellow container is 300ml)

Mac - a clothes peg...from what I gather I need a full on chemical warfare suit and mask!!!

Dont worry mate they always, always say that bit at the end consultants do  i dealt with the consultant/surgeon for my brother during his mouth cancer op they gave me a horror story but it was great and no where near as bad there policy is always to give you the worst case scenario and compared to that your's is a BREEZE Ya analiser

Re: Pre Polish & waxing

Sorry to hear that about your brother!! is he ok now?!

Thank you for your kind words of reassurance! I thought about it like this, you could print it on a plane ticket or be presented with it at time of booking a plane ticket saying that you can board but be aware that this form of travel carries a small chance of death. They don't buy I guess there's always this chance with most anything...

Yours,

Nice collection there Mr Rizz :)

Have fun doing it and say happy birthday to your car from me ;)

I'm sure everything will be fine when you have your op. There's a risk with all operations, however straight forward or small it may seem but it is something that they have to say to everyone, so don't let it worry you. You've got youth on your side ..... Well only just...... You are 30 now ! Lol

I will be sure to pass on your birthday wishes to her. :D

Thanks for your thoughtful and reassuring words! You're right of course, I think I have a bit of a phobia about hospitals...them spiders and octopi. In the case of the former, it's all about a total lack of control, knowledge and placing yourself completely in the hands of others. In the case of the latter two it's a combination of too many eyes (can't creep on the buggers...they can see you wherever you are), too many limbs and, in the case of octopi, that freaky beak thing.

Re: Pre Polish & waxing

So...got a little bored this afternoon and with the sunlight fading decided to clean the OH's noddy car. I have to say that the results are most pleasing. You guys weren't kidding about the IronX thought huh?! That's supposed to smell off cherries?! Crikey, they smell like cherries if they passed through the digestive system and were deposited in my 11.5 month old nephew's soiled nappies!! Anyway, 'Freddie 500' looks gleaming and his little alloys and chrome exhaust are glistening...and sealed. Will report back on the Carlack when I get a chance but today Feddie was treated to:

A thorough snow foaming and washing,
A drying off,
IronX treatment,
Claying,
Carlack applied,
Alloys planet polished,
Chrome exhaust treated with Britemax twins,
Carlack buffed off

I would have taken a snap to share the results of my hard work but by the time the Carlack was buffed off I was doing it by torchlight!!! However, that has to have scored me some brownie points towards whatever the next car I decide to purchase...(though I doubt it).
