Power Steering rcz gt 1.6 156

Hello have a problem with power steering the car has had a bump on the front where the nsf has gone into the tyre putting stress on pump I have plugged it in to Delphi diagnostics and come up with code 47 have enclosed picture of it. The problem I have is I clear the code then start engine then is back on the screen, any ideas, do you think I need a power steering ecu or a pump as this was damaged also any help in getting this rectified would be great. :dance:

Hi. Some of these codes only clear when you drive the car. I believe you have to reach a particular speed or drive it for a period of time and the code then goes. Cheers. Bruce.

The wheels have no power steering do you think that it will power up once driven as it says stop and power steering light flashing red

Can't remember if the system is totally hydraulic or electric pump/hydraulic action.

Hi , the was a little but topped up still no power steering :thumbdown: The pump is electric

Do you have to bleed the air out? By turning steering from lock to lock several times (keep eye on level).

The pump was damaged a little at front also round fluid neck so lost all fluid. I took the pump front off to investigate and looked at the inside circuit board looks ok, I would buy another pump but no so cheap unless I get a 308 pump as they look the same but worried it won't work. :eusa-think:
