Potential R Timing Chain Issues

Guys,

There's an R owner reporting potential timing chain issues. He took a video, viewable here:

So far as I know, timing chain issues have never been reported as affecting R engines.

Anybody know different?

What are the experiences of fellow R owners?

If the latest and greatest engine in the series has started developing this fault, it means none of us are safe :shock:

I'm going to check on mine but I hadn't had any issues in this area at all (over 73.000 miles). And I do check the engine regularly while working on my other cars.

Today I recorded a short video clip similar to the one posted here with my engine running. The chain drive is working without any noises. Absolutely nothing. You only hear the fuel injectors ticking.
