potential new owner - good value ?

Hi there, for the past 3 years I have had a Alfa Brera 3.2 but this week decided to go and have a look at an RCZ type R as I fancied a change. I went for test drive and its somewhat more frantic than my Brera when putting my foot down, and it looked great.

My question is its a RCZ r type 63 reg, 15k miles on it for 16k, I have no idea if that is a good price or not, or average ? I was offered an ok but not great deal on my brera so am in two minds as to what to do. If the RCZ is priced low then I may go ahead with the deal, but have no real idea as to their value. I looked on Autotrader and the prices vary quite a lot and there's not many to work out a realisitic average.

Can anyone advice whether i should snap their hand off or not ?

Mine is a 64 with 5000 miles looking on Auto trader it would be worth around 20k meaning I've lost around 3k a year.
So for a 63 reg, 15k miles on it for 16k about right

I would take it in a heartbeat. That is a good price for that car. You will not regret it.

Get it bought & get some pics on here

Am beginning to swing towards getting it, its just the part ex was nt great but i guess if its priced fairly competitively then its not so bad, I just dislike the whole car salesman speell they come out with eg the car you want to buy is always highly sought after and hence they cant drop the price, and the one you trade in is always hard to dispose off and you get CAP black price only.

Will decide this weekend one way or the other as its driving me nuts my indecision !

Well I played it cool and did n' contact them today, then they rang an hour ago & offered me another £300 for my part ex, so I've now paid the deposit and are picking it up next week. Will be sad to see my brera go, but I'm sure I copy when I pick up my rcz r type, time for a celebratory

Well I picked it up today, is in virtually new condition, no scuff on the wheels or bodywork and seems like a new car. Looks like a batmobile or so my girlfriend said ! Was 15.5 k in the end i got it for a car thats got just 15k miles on it and was registered in Jan 2014. Superb value though was sad to see my Brera go as that was a great car too.

So different to my Brera 3.2, suspension is harder, and the acceleration is mad, as the wheels squirm away when trying to put put your foot down. I suspect I am going to have a riot of a time with it, pretty cautious at the moment, but give it a week or two !
