Hi Guys
I'm from Essex.
I hope to join the RCZ club tomorrow (29-03-14). I'm going to look at a 2010 1.6 THP GT Dolphine blue and am 90% sure i'll be driving away in it. I'm part ex'ing a 3.0 Exec Peugeot 407 2005.

Anything I should look out for? I've done my research and all say its a great car.

Looking forward to it.

Cheers

Just make sure you get a years extended warranty (if its from a peugeot dealer)

things to look out for maybe open the bonnet and when cold check for any rattles. (timing)

also check all electrics work and put the stereo off during test drive and listen for suspension groans.

to be honest other than the occasional tming rattle (£750 to sort fully) they are solid cars.

Cheers Figo.

Something else has just cropted up. The dealer said to me that this car has been in an accident and is classed a cat D but all damage has been repaired. I spoke to my current car Insurer they didn't seem to mind and charged me the same as my current car. Should i buy the RCZ for it £10k?

At least your dealer seems open about it, but it's still your money that's being spent so I'd urge a little caution. After all, while you may pay less than book price now you'll potentially lose out when you come to sell layer on so it's swings and roundabouts.

Personally I'd suggest getting a full RAC inspection done because of the Cat D status and if it shows up that all is well you'll have decent peace of mind.

If the dealer balks at this or tries to tell you it's unnecessary etc etc walk away.

Many thanks guys

One thing i have decided is not to go for the Cat D RCZ. I have another Pug dealer that has lined me up with a low mileage (8k) 2011 auto 1.6 RCZ so now looking in to that.

Will let you know how my adventure turns out.

Thanks again.

My post above (#8). Tapatalk went screwy on me and replicated a post of mine, I can only remove the text but it won't let me remove the post. Not to worry if it can't, I think I'm just getting ocd about it!! (Or cdo, just to put the letters into a nice neat order...)

Yes!
Looks like i'm going to be an owner of a Dolphin Blue 1.6 GT auto 2011 RCZ. I should get it around the 10 April, can't wait! Do you guys have meets (another excuse to drive the car)? And like back in the day we used to flash (headlights that is) at each other as we would pass in opposite directions. Does that still happen?

My Mate said to me "it a hairdressers car" I told him where to go of course but he still wants a ride in when i get it he said.

Cheers guys

Hi Guys
Is it just me being a worry wort?
I called the Peugeot dealer on Wednesday, he said my car will be at their dealership that afternoon and will probably be ok to collect on Saturday, he will call me later to confirm. Has he called... No. I called him, he was busy on the other phone, so i was told he would call me back. Has he... No! So now i'm thinking there's a problem or its not ready for me to collect on Sat (05/04/14) etc. Why don't these guys just communicate with us buyers all the way until we drive away in the thing. Tell us what is happening every step of the way. I'm like a guy expecting his first born here. I have no nails left. Sorry just venting. Did any of you go/are going through the same thing?

Thanks for your ears.
