Polished Bliss Goodies Arrived

Yes sorry I did and I don't know why I didn't post it.

They have agreed to me returning the Foam Gun. They did ask if I had shaken the bottle of Avalanche as it's prone to settling. I did say to them that I'd tried absolutely everything and as I think I've already posted the Avalanche in a plant sprayer does a wonderful job as a wheel cleaner.

So I will be packaging it back up and returning it. I'll either buy a lance or swap it for some other goodies from them.

Well I finally returned the foam gun today.

I've asked them to send me a couple of swissvax brushes, some more Avalanche and a 1.5 Litre pressure sprayer instead.

I'm quite sure that you do get a lot of compliments about the car but probably from similarly minded people (and I don't mean that in an offensive way)!! However, over time, such a technique will result in swirl marks and all manner of imperfections and marring. Give it time and then go look at your car closely from different angles in the sunshine and you will undoubtedly be faced with a car full of swirl marks such as these. Even a careful wash technique will produce these over time but a poor wash technique will produce them after as little as one or two washes.

Having tried a variety of different products I can confirm that they very much do provide very different results. Of course, there are charlatans out there but good quality detailing products don't need to cost the earth and are well worth the time and effort. However, I'm not going to try and persuade you to change your ways and as long as you're happy then little else matters. :D

Forgot to add that car is sealed with Diamond Brite from new. And no, i dont have any sign of swirls anywhere.Thats the kind of thing that happens if you dont rinse the car down first, Grit is present and is made worse by you rubbing while cleaning.I dont use a pressure washer either, just a plain old bucket.

Sorry, I'm not a betting person but I will make an exception in this case. I would bet everything I have that your car has swirl marks, especially as you have Diamondbrite applied. You are severely misguided in what you say. Peugeot paint is on the soft side so it does not take long to inflict swirls, even with the safest wash technique. What colour is your RCZ by the way?

Furthermore, as you claim to use nothing but Autoglym how do you know these products are no good?

I don't think we are being obsessive but seeing as a car is the second biggest expense after a house, I should think it pays to look after it. For the record white does have swirl marks, just harder to spot but stand it in full sun and they will be there :)

Can I ask what you do as a hobby?

Well done to you for the success you have had in the stock market. If its given you a nice little nest egg then even better :)

You sound like my sister. She loves buying property. It's almost like buying shoes for her ;)

My other main hobbies, apart from detailing and driving are photography and rambling. These two go pretty much hand in hand as landscape and nature photography are my favourite genres.

I believe that to be a misquote Donna. The actual idiom is "An Englishman's home is his castle"

You have missread my post im afraid....I said i have made a portfolio of pics of historic buildings and small castles around the west coast of Scotland.I dont buy castles.I have enough listed building rules to work within my own property.(built in 1780).

An easy mistake for the reader to make, the wording of your post was ambiguous and so did suggest that your portfolio was of castles and not images of them when read in context of your previous posts.
